Musicman Stingray 4 – 30th Anniversary Edition
scotttelfer replied to khazol's topic in Basses For Sale
Totally agree with description about the tones from the mahogany body. Gigged with my 30th Anniversay at the weekend. Gives you the classis Stingray sound with an extra layer to the sound that other body woods don't. I would strongly recommend this bass..... as Sterling Ball did, describing it as best sounding Stingray they had made.. -

Subdecay Echobox is an awesome delay. Used to be my absolute favourite. The modulation sounds in it are lush. -

These are Absolutely fantastic , units I use one as a Tubescreamer , a RAT and a Big muff , this thing gives you all the benefit of " behaving like analog pedals with blend functionality but with the flexibility of pugging the thing in and swapping the "Pedal sim " for somthing else on the menu . A huge stable of options , And even the ability to switch it from " toggle to latch" for those ... i want my Fuzz in the Chorus only moments, So much versatility for the price , bargain. -

Higgie started following FS: Sadowsky Metroline Modern M5-24 (Japanese)

Don't really want to do this, but last in, first out etc. as I need the money. It's a modified Japanese Metroline Sadowsky M5-24, and it is bloody marvelous. Bought this on here last year for the exact same price. It's in exactly the same condition (solid 9.5/10), having only done one gig with me, and comes with the rectangular Sadowsky case and the original pickups. It's been modified by the original owner, who replaced the pickups with Nordstrands, moved the front pickup slightly closer to the neck, and put a third pickup in the middle, so it's almost like a Dingwall with straight frets 🤣 Pickup pan pot has been replaced with a 5 way selector giving you the following pickup combos: Solo Neck, Neck and Middle, Middle, Middle and Bridge, Bridge. It sounds AWESOME. Combined with the passive tone control, and the 2 band EQ you have access to a TON of tones. The neck pickup on it's own is quite thumpy and P-like. The bridge pickup is super pokey and burpy like a solo'd J Bass bridge pup, but the really cool thing is that the two positions that combine pickups (Neck & Middle/Middle & Bridge) are really reminiscent of a Stingray, with an element of that "thing" that Stingrays have going on in the top end. The amount of tones available, it also being a 5 string, and having 24 frets, make it the perfect function/gigging bass as it covers so much territory! Add in the fact that it is also nice and light (3.9kg/8.6lbs) it's pretty much perfect! No trades, as I'm definitely needing the cash on this one. £1900 collected from Ickenham NW London (J1 of the M40). While postage is possible at the expense of the buyer, I would strongly prefer collection. I can also travel to meet the prospective buyer within reason.

Status 40th Limited Edition Series 2000 - reduced to 7500£
Rondoggy replied to headless101's topic in Basses For Sale
Just a small point. This is one of the limited edition series, not the the 40th anniversary series that had a special logo and LEDs. More faithful to the originals, almost as rare as the 40th and personally I'd prefer this beauty to one with a 40th anniversary logo on it. If this was in the UK I'd be on the way with cash in hand, after a bit of negotiation 😉. GLWTS, and I hope you feel better soon. -
An experienced and trained friend sounds fully qualified to give some pointers. My guess is you'll tell a few people you play double bass and will be out gigging by May.

I have just moved on my EBS Classic Session 60 which I think is a perfect practice amp. Sounds like a proper bass amp, stereo in, headphones and DI out, makes a good stage monitor and can go loud enough to annoy other family members.

I'd recommend the Jura, I find it really addictive. I'll persevere with the Stems, perhaps it was user error.
