  1. Past hour
  2. So this band imploded after the September gig. The new band is the old singer and drummer… With 2 bass players sharing the stuff with strings. Should be absolutely fine now.
  3. No kidding, I was running sound over at The Crown, my uni volunteers us students, as well as some of our equipment, to help out. We supplied The Crown and The Star (outside), and we had students all over the place.
  4. Very slow, I can't see any of these for this price anywhere and I have 3 basses I have been trying to sell. 1 just sold at last!
  5. 2/3 basses for sale and a Hartke amp to shift… market seems slow 😵‍💫
  6. No hurry, I've had this for sale for a while so am dropping the price again. It's a lovely guitar for the money
  7. Just be aware the drum machine is in the app, not the pedal as far as i can see. it’s nowhere near as versatile as the Zoom IMO, but i feel the amps and cabs sound more convincing.
  8. Oh no…..it’s on here again! Be gone temptress!
  9. Nailless fingerstyle? Not sure why that makes DB out of the question? Get yourself a 4/4 and a bow, spend a few weeks enduring frustrating squeals, and then experience the sublime moment at which the bow finally speaks and the whole system - instrument, player, and room - resonates, and you won’t look back 👍

    Velcro

Several rolls of adhesive Velcro. Came with various Pedaltrain boards I’ve had. The rolls on the left are spiky side. The ones on the right, fuzzy side. The wide strip underneath is both sides and it’s folded in half, so twice that length. The thinner one, fuzzy side. Apple for scale and not included. Free to collect from BB8, east Lancs, or will post it out for a fiver.
  11. I'm bringing this to Sunday's SW Bass Bash. Although I'm really trying to slim down my kit, I'm not wholly averse to a trade with cash my way... If it sells, I'll donate 5% of the net proceeds to the Bash running costs.
  12. For anyone who wants to see these pedals in the flesh, I'll be taking them along to the SW Bass bash on Sunday. If any sell, I'll donate 10% of the proceeds to the Bash running costs.
  13. There’s this - https://robertkeeley.com/product/30ms-automatic-double-tracker/ But the idea here is to make it simple to do this with a single input.
  14. Far Canal. Sorry Al, I was clearly way off target.
  15. Bridge pup from a Standard series bass (I believe USA and MIM used the same, 048613 on the bobbin). Pickguard might be from a Player series bass, not sure, but it's free with the pup if you want it.
  16. There are plenty of good options on here, but I’d suggest going for two pedals if your budget allows. Stacking overdrives has many benefits, but also gives you three options - pedal A, pedal B, pedals A+B. Having one at a low gain and another at a higher gain gives you lots of options. You also get a few other dynamic options, if you want to be creative, by having other pedals between them. For example, if you put a chorus between the two drive pedals, as well as having your three drive sounds, you also now have drive into chorus and chorus into drive. Most importantly though, there are many incredible sounding drive pedals that don’t have two stages of gain, meaning it’s way easier to find two great tones and stack them than it is to find one pedal that has two drive tones you really love.
  17. True enough, to sound even more natural maybe it might be good to have randomised delay which changes aperiodically (when the changes in delays occur) and variably (how much the delay changes) within set parameters - is there such a pedal?
  18. That’s a great photo!
  19. Today
  20. This is a very good quality plate, made by Fatboy Guitars Ltd. in Newport England, probably about 20 years ago. I have had it in a drawer for years and never even removed the plastic film so it is in new unmarked condition. The colour is a very pale mint green to my eyes which is not captured in the photos. Price includes UK postage.
  21. I would never try to impose my moral values on another adult. Heeheehee. I am interested to hear how longer term owners of this feature feel about it too. For me, an LED based set of side markers would be perfect... if not for having to remember to carry spare batteries. On an active bass it wouldn't be much extra to remember, yet I would rather keep some consistency between my lot. Like you, I would prefer not to have to carry a special torch. It more than cancels out the advantage of having no battery for the side dots if you still need to remember to carry both the torch and its batteries.

  23. Please delete
  24. BBC Symphony Orchestra was loading out at the Barbican last night… walked by just as the basses were manhandled into the truck.
  25. I'm hoping that's the case. I can't imagine any judge being overly impressed by the offence of "pretending to act under the authority of a County Court."
  26. Honestly this is just a thing to try and frighten everyone. In the end, it’s for those huge traders that are wilfully evading tax. Most of us don’t need to worry. Just give you NI number and leave it at that. My tax affairs are complicated with two businesses and self employed income.
  27. This is definitely in the "Superbass" bracket. Up there with the best that money can buy. Does my eyes good just to look at it.
