  2. Pre Bank Holiday Weekend Bump. I will be withdrawing this soon and popping it somewhere, likely the Bass Gallery, for a commission sale. If you're interested, let me know!
  3. Yeah got that. It’s a lot to spend on an only effects processor though. You’re well into brand new HX territory there.
  4. 4kg / 8.8lbs - bathroom scales and I couldn't be arsed taking the leather strap off so make of that what you will.
  5. At least, someone dare asking the right question...
  6. You haven’t mentioned his age but I was just thinking that given the demographic of Basschatters and their bands, his hearing could be somewhere on the cream-crackered spectrum.
  7. Not sure. If he is sitting there not playing, but there is a loud buzzing come from between his legs, id assume he would be aware of it. Judging by the other replies, drummers can hear this sort of thing on a quieter stage.
  8. Really enjoyed listening to that, nice one. Great illustration of Mr Smith as well 😊

  10. Perhaps he can’t actually hear it, or not to the extent you can?
  11. Have to admit…selling one very expensive bass and turning it into 4 less expensive basses is a new trick… also…the next shiny thing is en route but it’s to replace my Old Pacifica electric guitar…
  12. Hearing it out front when we sound checked on Sat was what prompted me to speak up. It's also quite prominent at rehearsals. That may not really matter, but it's a noise that shouldn't be there, so, like feedback and excessive hiss, it should be addressed asap as it's just not very proffessional. I dont even mind between songs, it's if someone is playing.
  13. Very well put together US-published book of in-depth interviews with guitarists based on a TV documentary. Refreshingly, not all are the usual suspects. Rarely seen here. 300 pages, very good condition. £13 posted UK. Now just £10
  14. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Plays well. More details and pics to follow shortly.
  15. Continuing the Carpel tunnel induced sale of my long scale basses, here's my rather lovely Maruszczyk Elwood Custom 5 string Bass up for grabs. It's in excellent condition with no dings or gouges and just one barely visible mark on the upper horn which is hidden by the strap. Truss rod is in working order and there are no issues with the bass. Built in 2017, it is 34" scale, 18mm string spacing at the bridge, passive electronics with Haussel pickups and vol/vol/tone controls. Currently strung with Ernie Ball Cobalt flatwound strings for a great old school tone. It weighs 8.58lbs and with Hipshot Ultralite tuners, it balances perfectly. (the original tuner screw holes are slightly visible on the rear of the headstock for full disclosure...) It is finished in a lovely matt transparent red burst with a satin tinted vintage neck. It has straplocks and will be supplied with a leather strap, Maruszczyk branded gig bag and build certificate. I am based in Swindon and would prefer the potential buyer to come and try the bass out but I do travel a bit and I'm not averse to a road trip within reason for petrol money or I can post at buyers expense as a last resort....

  18. When I previously lost a band I found the following poster helped:
  19. EMG are releasing a Bart’ sized “fat sounding, wide aperture single coil” called the E4W.
  20. Very tasteful @AndyTravis 👍 are you sure you’re not an alien impersonating our mr travis without doing any homework ? you haven’t mentioned “next shiny thing” or “sneaked this in..” or “give it a week or so” fess up, Zarg you’re not fooling us
  21. Today
  22. What would it do that your current basses can’t? I’m sure we can help you save yourself!
  23. It'd be worth asking someone out front if it's coming through. If it's just on stage who cares? ...but yeh when I used to play small pubs with just vocals and acoustic guitar in the PA, I would turn the snare off in between songs and for intros etc. In that scenario, the rattling is much louder relative to the volume of the vocals and guitar.
  24. This is what I first suggested to him. I thought it would be easy to do that.
