  1. Past hour
  2. I think some were jyst held on by hot melt. @Rosie C I can 3d print one for you if you dont mind painting it yourself. This is my design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6675528
  3. What do you feel their current line-up could benefit from that would translate to improved sales?
  4. And then there was one?
  5. Fly Like An Eagle - Steve Miller Band
  6. This is a wonderful bass and a steal at the price Peter has reduced it to. The one slight correction to make to Peter's advert is that the 6-way varitone switch is actually an original Aria SB-1000 one that Mike came across in his parts box during the build. The neck is a work of art in its own right! I can also attest - as many have before me - that Peter is an absolutely top bloke to do business with. If I had the funds spare I'd have this back in a flash, but sadly retirement has reduced cashflow significantly these days.
  7. It's partly curiosity but also something to possibly record my acoustic guitar.
  8. The badge on my 2x10" is riveted on but there are no holes on the 15". But then in that ebay listing the badge looks stuck on. Hmm... An unexpected bonus is the valve pre-amp. I wasn't expecting that and haven't had any kind of valve amp before 😊
  9. If you use thumb plucking down and index finger plucking up alternately to do the octave pairs it's not too hard to keep up.
  10. Yes an Ibanez 5 string (SBX) it had a fingerboard so wide that you’d need a native guide to get from G to low B and it sounded completely soulless I have large hands but only medium stretch and it was far too uncomfortable to play
  11. I have two longer than that that have been up for years. And my walls are made of that grey compressed powder they used after the war because presumably they had thrown all the bricks at the enemy.
  12. I've gigged with 2 One10's in a loud top 40's cover band using a 5 string bass and these cabs handled the gig perfectly. I also successfully gigged a Two10 and One10 in a loud blues rock band. I see no reason why the 310 wouldn't come through with flying colours.
  13. I have one on order 😁 If it’s anything like the One10’s I’m sure it’ll be fine
  14. Yep. Fender USA ‘75 Jazz. Took it out of the box plugged it in and was hugely disappointed. Bad fit and finish and the E string had no oomph sent it back the same day. Instant loathing.
  15. This appears to have one but it may have been added by the owner. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/306528129319 TBH I can't remember many cabs having them back in the day, or if they did they didn't retain them for long. I guess many badges were rattled loose by the monster tones and left lying on a stage floor somewhere, probably out of reach of the now crippled owner who'd had to get the cab out of the venue into the van.
  16. Filthy drive = EBS Metaldrive pedal.
  17. Today
  18. I’m really interested in the three 10 cab. I am predominantly a 5 string player. how do you three 10 cab users find the cab copes with the low B string?
  19. I think I'm going to make it through the whole year! Wow!
  20. Two, first off a BC Rich Warlock (Platinum series) and secondly, a Crafter electro-acoustic. The headstock dive of the Warlock was absolutely detrimental to my ability to play (I was pretty rubbish back then so any loss of capability was very much felt), and the Crafter, well, it turns out the chunky bodies of acoustics don't suit me, and neither do phosphor bronze strings. 2008 was a bad year for me, bass purchase-wise.
  21. Up, Up, And Away - Fifth Generation
  22. I need more filth. Ive replaced a bassist who played a Rickenbacker and Marshall Superbass with a very Lemmy-ish tone. Im using a Spector with an Ashdown ABM and a Two Notes Revolt preamp. Im never going to match the Rick/Marshall tone and the band aren't expecting that but I want more filthy drive on my tone. Are pedals the way to go? Or will they just sound a bit thin compared to a big valve amp?
  23. had V8's (2), V4's VA350s... the V6 is by far my fav: solid punch and a clarity (if you dial it in) that the others can't (IMHO) match.... fabby deal at this price!!!
  24. I think he usually works in large auditoria where sub placement is generally in the middle. All the YouTube live sound influencers talk about splitting the room in two then placing each speaker in the centre of each side. That obviates the need to use too much toe in. You do need to be careful with the dispersion angles. I have some passive speakers with 60 x 60 and in many cases that would not be enough to cover the room.
  25. Used a total of 3 times to power 4 passive speakers for rehearsals whilst my bands powered PA speakers were away being repaired. In immaculate condition and in good working order. Nice clean sound and goes very loud. Power ratings. Stereo mode (per channel). 8ohm: 440 watts. 4ohm: 900 watts. 2ohm: 1500 watts. Bridged. 8ohm: 1500 watts. 4ohm: 3000 watts. Mono. Same as stereo but only uses channel A input and splits the signal between channels A and B. I’ve got a horrible feeling my wife recycled the box but if I can’t find it I’ll ship in excessive bubble wrap and/or in a gig bag or similar. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.
  26. Fields of the Nephilim in Manchester on the 26th (October, that is). Met up with my own band's singer whilst there, when the mosh pit started up, she went towards it, and I backed away. I am not into that kind of thing.
