Can anyone offer some real world experience? Curious how they would compare to a traditional set. Cheers.
-
The presets do to have very similar names between the Pocketmaster and GP-5/50. It's obvious they are using the same tech, just different implimentations.

I brought it along as my Brother spotted it earlier and I ended up noodling on it and it was great fun. Found a new song we are knocking into shape it really suits - think something in the same ballpark as Hey Hey My My (Into the Black). It's so dŵty, but really good to play and sounds huge. I paid about 50 times as much for the other bass I was using... -

I made and sold cables for two Basschatters recently. One was delayed for some reason so I sent it on a Royal Mail. 24hr service. The other was on. 48Hr but I paid for a collection on that one. Both were collected and delivered the following day. -

Sonicake and Valeton are both part of the Hotone company so I wonder if it's more work less the same as the GP-50 but in a different box. I've got a GP-5 but not tried any Sonicake products.

We've had detuners on basses for decades. They're usually passed down from player to player (popular in opera sections usually because players get fed up with knocking their extensions under the stage in opera pits). Plus there's an American company making them these days as well. For a laugh I put one on my 5 string to pedal a B flat.... They're not that common on nice basses for the obvious tension issues (no probs on bass guitar as that's basically just a plank) plus with a standard 4 string set of Eudoxas knocking on £1000 they really don't like detuners! Hipshot make one also, but it's not the best quality and can damage your tailpiece. Good for a laugh though.

I've just recently sold a bass and used Parcelforce Express as they had generally been absolutely fine in the past. Booked the collection on Sunday for Monday collection from my work address. This is the safe option as I work in logistics, shipping etc. so we know all the drivers and couriers. No tracking or anything available despite a tracking number so getting a bit worried. Parcelforce turn up at 4.30pm and the driver says he's come to collect the parcel but can't actually take it as head office haven't bothered to print the shipping labels but he thought he'd turn up anyway 🙄 So I make a few phone calls and its picked up the following day and delivered today. Quite bizarre really. -
I believe there have been manufacturing delays because Barefaced has moved the business to a different location. That's always going to slow things down.

Superb bass. I've played this actual bass and it has a superb neck. Pick ups are very nice and even across the poles too. From what i've read they are manufactured by Seymour Duncan for Godin. They do have a very nice warm, deep Fender type tone. I bought his other Godin which i'm currently gigging. Stevie is a top guy and anyone buying this is getting a fantastic bass at a great price. Really nice bass, but those strap buttons shouldn't be there....not original. The original "Boomerang" shaped backplate with strap buttons each end of it is essential for the ergonomics of this bass. With it the bass balanced perfectly on that screw point on the back. You can tighten the screw and have the bass in a fixed position, or you can loosen it and swing around that point. Absolutely no neck dive or rising... You can even swing it from a right-hand to a leftie😅 But that's fixable on this one of course

Caught putting it in my basket to check shipping cost and offered 10% off. Nice email chat with 'Wes' about weights and timescales. No council tax or water rates for the next two months. Birthday next month. Forgive me for I am weak.
