  2. Gibson must have worked out the costs of Shopify vs roll your own. Building your own isn't cheap either. However most big brands tend to build their own to get the site exactly how they want. Gibsons annual revenue is circa $300M per annum so they can afford it. Still strikes me as odd for Gibson to use Shopify though.
  3. When I first started doing the 3 piece acoustic it was. I've been doing the acoustic gigs for atleast 5 years now. I'm use to it Dave. Overall the acoustic gigs are a blessing. Easy hours, fast set and tear down. I'll be home by 8:30. I'll get the full Maple Road band experience next weekend. Daryl Daryl

  6. It is really good! I’d be keeping this if I didn’t need the money. Gutted because of my circumstance but needs must first. Cheers mate!
  7. God Bless you all

  8. When they split into two halves I was dismayed. Godley and Creme's L album totally made up for the disappointment. Imagine what could have been if they'd just taken a year off, though.

  10. It used to exist in the U.K. It was called Income Support.
  11. It has been confirmed on Phillip McKnight’s podcast that FMIC (Fender) has bought G&L.
  12. Wow, that's lovely. Just when I genuinely thought I had no gas left for anything... sigh.
  13. The bolt on Grinds were 34" for the 4 strings, 35" scale for 5 strings. 18 months later when the Grind was revamped as a neck-through bass, the 4, 5 & 6 string models all were 35" scale length. Peavey being Peavey both versions of the TL-5, another neck through model, basses were 34" scale length. Of the US production Cirrus, they again were all 35" scale except for, Peavey being Peavey, The 2007 bolt-on Cirrus went 34" for 4 string/35" for 5 string 😆 You're right about Zepher/C-5 being 34" scale length but dead wrong regarding it's timing. Cirrus sales went live Q1 of 1997, Zephyr/C-series didn't arrive until 1999.

  15. Yes. I recently had an issue with a Barefaced cover which was too big, but Barefaced resolved it very quickly, and the replacement cover was shipped to me directly from Hotcovers. Rob
  16. I’m up against mr travis and his all-consuming GEAR maw no chance, I see that bass being dragged to a Manchester address, probably leaving scratch marks on the pavement as it is sucked in like some poor dachshund caught in a wizard of Oz style tornado Briefly. 😛 I Wish I could buy this. GLWTS
  17. Pete went out of his way to ship his somewhat heavy Trace Elliot combo to me, even taking a £10 hit when his preferred courier wasn't available. Also sold me his Bugera Veyron and gave me a heads up when Parcel Farce had send it south rather than north. Absolute top bloke, much enjoyable banter was had, and I'd happily buy from him again.
  18. Glad To Be Gay — Tom Robinson Band
  19. Yes, exactly: These are EBMM "Classic" Sterlings - relatively rare birds. 2-Band, no switch (pickup permanently wired in series), figured maple necks with gloss finish, six-bolt neck joints, bridge with mutes, chrome truss wheel and battery compartment cover, slab one-piece ash bodies.
  20. Yeah. Want. bloody builders.
  21. Tutti Frutti - Richard Wayne Penniman
