I think most people know what this is. Incredibly versatile but I just don't use it. Boxed. One small scratch but otherwise clean as a whistle, which I suppose you could say is ironic given what it does to your sound 😜 Can post at buyer's cost or collection / meetup in Bromley (Kent, not Bow) or I get to Rochester fairly regularly.

Thanks Martin - those were the days. I was doing similar in the late 80s Marlborough / Pewsey.

C'mon Si, you know how it works around here. If someone has a problem than can be solved by GAS always suggest that first .

Or that 😝 Si

Buy a bigger board. Obvs.

Get rid of the massive chorus and get a TC Corrona Mini…there will be a toneprint which sounds as good for sure. Other options would be to swap the PolyTune for a PolyTune Mini, and the OC5 for the MXR Vintage Octave (sounds the same assuming you’re using the OC2 model on it). Si

If you've got a good internal metronome you'll be fine regardless but I do not 😂 so having a little LED or light circle really helped! I've had a few over the years and they have all held value so it's worth picking one up to experiment as you're likely to get your money back through a sale

I really appreciate this post @Linus27. Sometimes in the posts on here I come across instances where I'm tempted to leave Basschat but it's posts like this that keep me sticking around ☺️ Ah I just read he was a part of Brand X with Phil Collins.I wasn't aware even though I've heard and enjoyed several of their tracks. -

Hi Bass peeps, I'm trying to determine whether my Spyder 550 head has a specific issue or if this behavior is just part of its design. I'm playing a P-Bass equipped with hot DiMarzio Model P pickups. I typically run the Gain on the amp close to or at maximum to get a rich, warm tone. However, when I really dig in on the lowest notes, the volume suddenly drops—almost like a strong compression effect kicks in. I'm wondering if this is a built-in protection feature of the amp, or if there's something wrong with it. Has anyone else experienced this with the Spyder 550? Edit: this doesn't happen with my ABM 500

The two headless 5s are beautiful, and the white one sounds great in the earlier clip.

I just put one in the shopping basket and it adds $300 shipping. I wonder if that includes the UK VAT at 20%. Did he say?? $799 for a short scale. So $300 for shipping alone seems quite a lot! Import duty itself is only 2% I think.

Myself and the other band members use SetlistPro. You can enter in the song details directly or, as we do, import .pdf files. -
