Has anyone in UK bought a bass from Fender 'Mod Shop'?
Chris Hales replied to Twigman's topic in Bass Guitars
Late to the party here but, yes, I have a Mod Shop bass and my experience was entirely positive. I went for a Jazz with a Slim "C" neck with a rosewood 'board. Nothing terribly unusual otherwise but I felt it was worth it just to get the slim neck. Absolutely love the bass so no regrets whatsoever here. What spec are you considering? -

Nice bass I bought the Jetglo version they had in stock at Promenade last week and really love the neck. I think the new bridge and single trussrod make excellent upgrades to the 4003 line. They are very consistent - I’ve owned and played a lot of Rics and they have had some quirks however these recent models are excellent basses. GLWTS. -

Many thanks for going "old school". I still love reading magazines rather than online threads. For me this takes me back to when our only way of finding out about basses and gear was to read reviews in mags. I used to collect them, keep them and use for reference when i fancied another bass. I had a few subscriptions to motorcycle mags but they went all online. I've never read any since. Its just not the same as having a mag in your hand. Such a great idea and wish you all the very best with it. Dave -
Thank you - we will do our very best for the industry and bass players in the UK and wherever else they may want to read from!

I had that but it seems to work from phone or at least I think it did. The next page is a bit confusing and made me think it didn't work. -

I’ve just tried to sign up and after entering bank details I get this message and it takes me back to the previous page. Details are correct? I’ll try from laptop in a bit. -
Joel McIver is a fantastic editor (and author) to have in the hot seat and, it was between Joel and our @Mike Brooks that I have to thank for my job and many years working with them with my own column each month in Bass Guitar Magazine and later Bass Player Magazine. Wishing you all very well in this new venture ☺️ @Gunsfreddy2003

£6.95 delivered? Seems very reasonable! Loads of the specialist magazines (not those sort) in Smith’s are £9.99. Good for you for filling a gap and taking a risk. I’ll sign up! -

Ive been using the Xvive A58 for a while now. Not one drop out and its very compact. You can also change the battery when it starts giving less running time, as these things do and will. I can get 2 rehearsals out of a charge which is nice if i forget to charge them.
