  1. Past hour
  2. 34‘Scale, but a 34’ scale Adamovic plays and feels like 33‘
  3. Reposted - Thought it may have regained a use, but the slot has been taken by another! Second chance!
  4. I've wanted a white bass for a while, but didn't really want to buy another add to the growing collection. I had in mind what look I wanted though. So when @oldslapper put a white body up for sale, I jumped on it pretty quick. I transferred the neck from my Jazz Delux, black scratch plate and knob plate I already had, and added Aguitar pickups. Loving playing it.
  5. Marginally out with a tuner, maybe not, audiably out, yes. Not that I have ever really checked the intonation at the 12th fret, I tend to only do it at the 19th.
  6. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
  7. "Saint Leo" only used alder because it was cheap and available but fairy wood still made me laugh 😃
  8. Aye - it's a means of saying there is push energy and pull energy going to a speaker; whilst it naturally goes back to its zero position, we want to measure the energy expended on its travels.
  9. So long as it intonates correctly at the 12th fret, it personally wouldn't concern me in the slightest if intonation at the 24th was marginally out when measured with a tuner. In fact, given all the potential variables, I'd be surprised indeed if it happened to me perfect, but maybe that's just me?!! None of that helps you at all, but what I'm saying is, I suppose, is that do you think the buyer's expectation is reasonable? It's good of you to be concerned, but you've no idea about their level of competence. Definitely check the string though!!
  10. Babicz FCH 4 Bridge Gold. Excellent condition. Unfortunately, I have misplaced one of the fixing screws, there should be five but I only have four, and the allen key Free shipping within the UK.
  11. Someone with a lathe could easily make up some bushings to fit - wouldn't take long.
  12. 33’ scale?
  13. I've actually got a steamer, but stalled at the prospect of making a former. It's a thought
  14. Intentionally not in a band full-time and happily retired, but also looking for dep gigs to keep me sharp. 68, very experienced and can read pretty well. My preference would be classic rock or country, pit work, or big band/ swing, but can also do other genres.Comfortable on fretted and fret less, but don’t have or want an upright. Can also do bg vocals on stuff I know.
  15. There's always an upgrade, once you start you just can't stop 😂
  16. I had one of these. The P90 simulation was really good... and hum-free! At the time I was playing mostly a Les Paul with P90s, but the Variax sounded so much cleaner (when dirty, if you know what I mean ). Very tempting, but I can't justify it right now... Good luck with the sale!
  17. School Days - Stanley Clarke. Papa was a rolling stone - The Temptations. One Drop - Bob Marley & the Wailers
  18. @MichaelDean, that's a great t-shirt, by the way!
  19. Today
  20. Great album, only bought it recently but a truly great listen
  21. £25 posted. I can un-solder the pickup from the loom for you, or provide the original nut washers etc if you need it. I can also swap the 'big lug' Korean pickup covers to normal ones, depending on your bass.
  22. First two gigs last weekend with the new band I'd been helping out and have now joined. Saturday evening in Newbury and Sunday afternoon at a beer fest near Andover. Really enjoyed both, 2 x 1hr sets in Newbury, good crowd but not packed. I played pretty well and could hear everything. Played when required at the beer fest as it was a multi band thing where the players mixed about...loved my first attempt at "hey Jude" with most of us playing together and I tried some Overton Berry Trio lines. Thumpinator, comp, bass rig black panel, Barefaced 2x One10 stack for both.
