  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t have a problem with it either, but we’re all different. One band mate used to take his off and put it on a necklace while gigging. Seemed a sensible solution.
  3. I’d snap this up if I didn’t have one already. Glwts
  4. Three wedding rings (consecutively, not concurrently) and never had any problem with any of them.
  5. Yes - the aluminium one I still have.
  6. Still available
  7. I am popping this back up for sale, as I've decided I prefer headed basses, with a very skinny nut. The funds will go towards a headed fretless 6 string ACG to compliment my recently acquired ACG fretted 6er, therefore no trades please. Here we have an immaculate ACG Krell SC E Type, a stunning example of ACG's work. This is a 6 string, tuned B to C, headless, set-neck construction. The scale length is 31.5" and the playability is incredible, the low B is musical and lacks nothing compared to long scale basses. As you will see from the design at the "head end", the strings are held in with grub screws so you can use any strings you want, you are not tied to double ball end strings. This is probably the most beautiful bass I have ever owned, and probably ever will, but sadly needs must. Official listing on the ACG site here >> https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0288-krell-e-type-fretless-6-31-5/ Here's a video of some noodles >> Specs as follows >> Top Wood: Fractal Birch Body Core: White Limba, 55mm thick and Chambered Accent: Purpleheart Body Finish: Satin Lacquer Neck: 3-piece Purpleheart/Wenge with asymmetrical profile Fingerboard: Mac Ebony with Pearwood fretlines at 1/3/5etc Purpleheart in the rest and flat/zero radius Scale: 31.5″ Neck Finish: Satin Lacquer Pickups: ACG FB pickups (stacked sidewinder style humbuckers, wired in parallel, hand wound by Aaron Armstrong) Hardware: ETS tuning/Bridge unit, ACG Headpiece, Dunlop Dual Design Straplocks La Bella RX Nickel Strings (30-130) Pre-amp: ACG DFM 4K (This is the full fat flagship ACG filter preamp) Nut width: 54mm Bridge Spacing: 16.5mm The bass comes with a top of the range Fusion F1 guitar sized gigbag, also in mint condition and a perfect fit, these things retail over £200 and are comparible to the top of the range Mono bags The bass is in perfect condition, never been gigged, home use only. Price is £1900 ono, no trades please. I am selling a 6 string headless ACG in another ad, and I would be willing to do a deal on these as a pair. UK only, but will consider an EU based sale. Shipping, with insurance at buyer's expense. More photos here >> https://photos.app.goo.gl/Losr8JTh3kL6o4iHA I will sort out a proof of ownership photo ASAP. Cheers, Eude
  8. Only been married about 9 months myself, and prior to that I'd not worn any jewellery besides a watch. You're not the first bassist/guitarist I've heard mention that the wedding ring required some getting used to, but I must admit I've not found mine getting in the way at all. The only time I've really noticed it is when I'm playing slide guitar, and I can hear it clinking against the slide on my little finger!
  9. I've not tried the v2 but I had the v1 for a while and I found I couldn't dial in the sound I wanted at a low enough volume, it was just far too much for me and I went back to my markbass f1, I've now swapped to a eich t-900 and even though it's supposed to be nearly double the watts it's still easier to dial in my sound. I really wanted to love it but I guess I'm just not an orange amp person. Matt
  10. Hi Quatschmacher, Thanks for the message, but I’m afraid this sold very quickly earlier today. All the best, Ian
  11. The basschat recommended in ear system. Behringer P1 and kz zs10 earphones. Great condition, great sound. Pick up Leyland Lancashire or can post for £5.

  12. So as recently married person i've been struggling a bit to adjust to playing with my wedding ring on ... in fairness it's a pretty chunky affair stylistically ( no fancy gemstones ) just Big ole silver with engraving. Most of my bandmates are married too , The answer from both girls was ... move the ring to your pick hand .... which i've been doing , but for gigs i'd be terrified it would fling off , my solution so far has been an eggcup on my desk I'd lose my head if it wasnt attached So asking the wider community ... who plays with rings ... left right , wedding fashion ... should i just try to adjust ? Am i being foolish ?
  13. I hope that's not serious, Richard. I'll be coming from Nottingham, so 10.30's more like it for me.
  14. I know. Right up the dusty end... Because it's a 5er I often anchor myself from the C on fret 8 of the 4th string up to the C on the 10th fret of the 2nd string, especially as I'm learning to sight read at the moment and it's a key position to work at.
  15. Hi I have two pairs of the locks only, no buttons, they are both in nickel finish. I hope that helps
  16. Decided against the Battalion in favour of the trusty zoom B3 for the looper, drum machine, headphones out etc Train goes Tuner- Noise Gate - Comp - OD - Drop - Zoom B3
  17. Just took a look at this on YouTube, much more complex than I would have thought given the pop-factor of the band. Think this will be added to my list of songs to do.
  18. Just put an album on that I've had since it came out when I was 16 - 9 Below Zero Live at The Marquee. Blimey, they had some energy!
  19. He’s playing up at the 10th fret! Burn the witch! 🤣
  20. We added a verse to give it a more cohesive feel. I always found the shortened 1st octave section out of the solo tricky to feel (IIRC it was a 6 count as opposed to an 8).
  21. Yep look dead to me lol CPR ?
  22. Their engineers are superb as well, bands usually sound at their best on KEXP. The Mannequin Pussy set sounds incredible, better than the studio albums.
