  2. Bought a nice Sterling bass - complete with tasteful cosmetic upgrades. All good - very considerate seller and everything worked like it should 👍
  3. I become aware of the difference in sizes of items out there for sale. Genuine items are one/two sizes and the amazon types are different again. Anyone with a genuine Fender (only please) jazz bass product size, could you reply to the thread please, and measure your 'F' Ashtray if you would (and the neck as well if its no bother) Cheers Magister Ludi
  4. Ash and maple to be 'Classic Vibe' otherwise its just 'Budget Chinese' up at £500.
  5. Sold a Ray2 bass to @b7l4s Nice comms and a tidy transaction All good.
  6. Fabulous cabs. I had the 12”. Sound great., impeccably made and light as. GLWTS.
  7. So I realise this is a lot of money for a bass but they are getting rarer in the marketplace and of course each bass is different. This one is exceptional and in brilliant condition for a bass of 34 years. with all that in mind, I am happy to discuss realistic offers on the bass so please, if you are interested, just drop me a pm and we can hopefully reach an agreement Thanks everyone.
  8. About time i Bumped this. Open to offers too. I don't need more gear or other basses.
  9. I think some of the couriers include it. I think the normal tax situation is VAT plus import duties. 20% plus 2% (I think) in this case. So if it’s $300 shipping plus 22% on top it’s getting quite expensive!!
  10. How would you know if a road worn bass got damaged in shipping? and if you did notice and the damage didn't affect playability or electronics, should it matter as it would be genuine road wear and could you get your money back?
  11. Somebody gonna ask about the weight at some point, and how is the ash/ ash combo ? nice bass!
  12. Oasis at Wembley on Sunday .absolutely epic .
  13. Hello everybody,...well, i stupidly put the speakon cable 180 ° the wrong way into my CMD 121, and i cant put it back so the female speakon in the CMD 121 needs to be replaced...the place of the connector inside the amp is not so easy to access before an exterior concert in the semi darkness of the evening!! the amp is not two years old and is ok, but the waranty wont work because i made the mistake. so i have just a little question please: is it possible and not too complicated to self change this connector in the amp (the female side then)? it must be not so hard or am i totally wrong? thaks a lot and have a nice day Philippe from France

  15. Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam

  19. Guy Pratt's "My Bass and Other Animals" is very amusing. EDIT: If you prefer audiobooks, then he reads that one himself and does a great job. Quite nice to hear it in his voice when a particular anecdote brings back happy memories.
  20. Absolutely not. I wish I had had those when I was learning to read music.
  21. Just to be clear the price I am asking is £3000. That being said I am sure anyone who might have an interest in a Bass of this quality and condition would drop me a message to negotiate.
  22. Hmm. We had a guitarists who ended up picking up the radio on his Marshall valvestate. He was mortified though and, I think, got a Hughes & Kettner and a guitar with humbuckers and that got rid of the issue. At least you still have some high-frequencey hearing though, that's good to know!
  23. Didn't get round to putting this for commission sale as intended, so lets have another go, with a price drop. NOW £800.
