End of an era… Award Session to close in a couple of months…
Steve Browning replied to TrevorR's topic in General Discussion
I doubt the cabinet would have been much good with that specification of amp/speakers. -

Your best (and worst!) bass gear purchases of 2025?
Al Krow replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
I was kinda wondering whether any of this (other than the MB rig in the corner) could properly be regarded as "bass gear"? Well there's maybe an argument that there's a kick drum in there... 😅 -

I have a friend in The Hague who bought everything for me there and brought it to Serbia by car, and I'm wondering if there is a chance to send it by post to The Hague so that my friend can pick it up and he would bring it to me when he comes to Serbia, I'm very interested, I already have this amplifier and I know what it's all about

Its my pleasure to start to start a feedback thread for Hypo199 aka Aubrey. Excellent transaction with great comms, quick payment and a friendly BC spirit throughout. Cheers!

I was a little worried from the some of the comments above that plugging a headphone into a line-level aux-out could somehow cause damage to the desk circuitry. But seems from my online research I can rest easy on that score, as the only issue is likely to be insufficient volume in the IEM ear pieces if the signal has not been subsequently amplified? (Which, as noted above, doesn't seem to be a concern with the A&H CQ desks).
-
I shall have to check that out.

I bought Clarky's Trace Elliot Transit B pedal - it turned up as and when I expected (shipping deliberately delayed so I'd be WFH when it arrived), was well packaged and in excellent condition. Top seller! Cheers Clarky...

This guy demonstrates the pitch shift. The sound seems to change a bit but I’m sure you could use EQ to help with that. At about 8mins 10.

As a Mac user I always wonder why others need to have the dock turned on, quite large, taking up valuable screen real-estate at the bottom of the screen. Especially as in Logic you would be able to fit another two tracks on the arrange page without needing to reduce their size (and being able to fit more tracks at a sensible magnification is always a plus IMO), and I doubt whether you dropped out of Logic at any time during the day, and even if you did it's generally easier to switch between open programs using Command-Tab. On my set-up the dock is arranged vertically on the right-hand screen where it is out of the way and not taking up valuable pixels on my main screen. If I'm using a system with a single screen like a laptop the dock is permanently hidden.

I was going through quite a few tunes by Hopeton James last night who passed away just before Christmas, he was big in the 80s and had such a wonderful voice, and I found this song which I’d forgotten about, it’s the moonlight lover riddim which is up there with my favourites, here’s a few to enjoy And the original And my favourite which is Barrington Levy from the Shaolin Temple album, which is one of his best imo, worth a listen if you haven’t already heard it, Flabba on bass on this
