  6. I Herd It Through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
  7. Cheers for the offer but it's the lollipop versions I'm after
  8. How Soon Is Cow? - The Smiths
  9. Wish i thought of that reply. Made me almost fall of my chair. 🤣🤣🤣 Dave
  10. More setup shenanigans - I can't get the action low enough. That Fender bridge is not designed for this bass as it stands. I could shim the neck, but I'm not wedded to the bridge either... measurements and a decision will be made tonight.
  11. I was the other way round - started with J types and had no idea what to do with a P bass. Finally got there - I really love both, for different things.
  12. Just the FI, BMC and WAZA left now
  13. Dropped to £200 posted 👍🏼
  14. Pro Co Turbo Rat. Good condition and fully working. Adapter included to get around a pesky centre positive mini jack socket power supply. (Adapter allows standard 9v centre negative barrel socket power input). £80 posted (ONO)

  15. Bought this a few weeks ago for a gig I had at new year as a last minute replacement for my fuzz that died. Since got my usual fuzz repaired so this isn’t needed. Pretty much brand new except Velcro on the back. Price includes shipping in the UK, cheers!

  16. Only bought this a couple of weeks ago from another Basschat member, given it a run out at a couple of rehearsals but just isn’t my kind of sound so I’m listing it back up for what I paid for it. Rat based distortion with bass and treble eq controls, can do the lower gain thing but really shows what it can do at higher gain sounds. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers!
  17. I`m so used to Precisions that I just can`t seem to get it right with a Jazz in a band setting, so I reckon this could well be a factor for others too. Especially as I`ve heard excellent Precision sounds from bands only to see it`s a Jazz being used so I know it can be done, just not, it seems by me.

  19. I have been asked how much does this weigh - I thought it was quite light and according to my (never cost me anything in penalty fees on Ryan air) luggage scale it weighs in at 4.22 Kg
  20. Nice, GLWTS!
  21. I had this at a rehearsal last week, with one band, didn`t happen with the other and was using the same bass. I did check the intonation at the weekend just to make sure and all was good. So I now think it`s the guitar in the first band needs a set-up.
  22. I fitted a Tone Rider split P Bass set with a custom made guard from fleaBay. It required a little extra wood work under the pick guard but not much. Sounded great. The problem with that kind of intrusive mod is that you can’t reverse it to sell the bass and we all know you never recover anything like the cost of upgrades when you sell. The purpose-made upgrades are likely to sound better (and cost more) than a rail intended for a Strat and you can always remove the pickup and sell it separately, if you move the bass on. You probably can with the Strat pickup too but it’s a saturated market, so resale values could be lower.

  24. Hi I'm in Edinburgh most of the time. I've been trying for ages to find a teacher with no success so far. I love the sound of the bass bowed and know if nothing else its great to aid my intonation. Jonny
