  2. Next up for me is another Knock Off gig, supporting Therapy? at The 229 Club, London.
  3. Fat fingers? Mature student? He's got you covered https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/197472940211?itmmeta=01K2WAJMNT6J6PE3APQ928ZRH7&hash=item2dfa4df0b3:g:JLEAAOSwqWJoW98t
  4. Thank you - They're great ole reliable amps, but I'm finishing up with bass playing after 20 years, so this is my final amp. The 30 is a similar size to the Roland Cube 30, but can get much louder (if you need it to). £50 is buttons for something this solid.
  5. I’ve not suffered this specifically but about a month back my left wrist was hurting a bit so I raised the strap a bit and for about a week, playing or not I wore a wrist support which went over my thumb, and 2 thick wristbands.
  6. Hi everyone, I’ve got a lovely bit of tendinitis in my left wrist (my fretting hand). Not sure what’s caused it - I’ve not been playing loads recently and I don’t recall a specific moment of strain or trauma. My technique is decent and I don’t feel like I’m putting undue strain on the wrist. But hey, it is what it is - I just need to start working on recovery. Obviously, I’m keen to expedite the healing and recovery process and would love to hear from anyone here that’s coped with tendinitis. Any tips/tricks/exercises/miraculous healing stories most gratefully received! Ideally, I want to keep playing as much as is safely possible… I’m due to see an NHS physio at some point but obviously that can take a lot of time and I’m not sure I can afford any private clinics…so any collective wisdom you guys can offer would be very helpful. Thanks! Liam
  7. Looks like it might be user error. The Amazon page says "You can start charging via pressing the charging control button, and it indicates the battery level of the charging case".
  8. Lot of energy on that stage guys. You can just feel it. Amazing how double bass works so well in that style of band. Well done. Dave
  9. I was sure I'd seen something along the lines of a lightweight carbon fibre type stand somewhere. 'twas probably 'murkan, and no doubt would cost a pile to ship and import. This will do meantime. It's a pity it won't make my playing any better though
  10. We do Mamma Mia in the Glam band and its a nice wee song. No Matter What by Badfinger is an absolutely cracking song. Enough so that when i first heard it a few yrs back i bought the album based on that song and was not disappointed by them. Dave
  11. I just find a coffee lets me wind down a bit after driving at night. If you get to sleep within 20-30mins then caffeine hit doesn't affect you plus its decaf coffee i drink. Dave
  12. BTW, forgot to mention it's a short scale as I've had some asks. Folks are welcome to come try it with no obligation to buy.
  13. Noice I'm tempted, which would make it my fourth attempt to master a 5-string. Hmmm......
  14. Won’t they knock against each other there lefty, or is there more space than it looks
  15. Cool, what are those weird looking basses at the back?
  16. Today
  17. The M4 (and probably the M2) certainly works well under strain. There are a couple of check boxes I would recommend ticking, though.
  18. That looks like a much better solution.
  19. I disagree with you all, just take a closer look at the evidence. IT WAS IN HIS ATTIC FOR YEARS…… it’s the surest sign of authenticity 👍
  20. I think the talk that @51m0n did a few years ago was outstanding, and I'm still using some of the things I picked up from that lecture/demo today. I'm hoping that he's busy this year and won't be able to do anything until 2026 when I might be able to attend!
  21. The latency is a big selling point. The latency with my 1st gen Scarlett is fine by itself but when you start piling on NDSP plugins etc any reduction is a big win.
  22. Thanks Pete I ended up going for this: Stagg Keyboard Stand A bit heftier, but it's only going between the room and the living room
  23. I’m a combination of black/white/blue, with blue probably being more me than the others.
  24. You might try homebrewing something from a plank, a lighting pole and a speaker top hat. How about a laptop stand? I think a respray might be in order, the colour scheme looks like something out of a care home for old steel guitar players .https://www.dunelm.com/product/ozzy-adjustable-laptop-table-1000266671?defaultSkuId=30966581&branchCode=0122 Slightly nicer finish - similar to the big music stands that MDs like to use. https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Adjustable-Laptop-Stand-by-Gear4music/WJS?utm_campaign=surfaces_across_google
