Schroeder/Markbass setup - blown away!
pantherairsoft replied to pantherairsoft's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was recently on a gear kick and realised that one part of my set up that I just have no desire to change at all was my amp and cab. I posted this thread over 7 years ago and I'm still using the exact same amp and cab (and cable in the pic). Still in tone heaven. It was a really hard move away from the Barefaced Big Twin T I had at the time, and it was even harder resisting going for a smaller barefaced... but having tried the 1212L in person, I couldn't deny what my ears told me. I dread the day either of these give up the ghost! ha -
Among my many favourite songs is Perfidia by Phyllis Dillon , and I recently came across this version by junior English at 3.53, I’m quite liking it

Just about to post these but thought I would take a look. They are much smaller than I imagined. They have sent you a few. You should be able to fit them but if not, the offer still stands.

Ehm, isn’t there a typo? 🤦♂️😂

In theory this ought to be possible as the patch files contain a 32-character name already. That could easily be done in the next update. (Even before as it’s just a question of assembling them and uploading the bank file to the cloud.) I presume rhetorical. Mainly because no one has bothered to do any. I did get Panda to send Gaz Williams a unit with the express outcome that he’d record a video but a year on he’s still not got around to it! I’ve just revived an old idea of mine for being able to move patches around on the pedal without recourse to the editor as I’ve finally had the headspace to flesh out a nice UI for it. Let’s see if it’s possible as regards the actual coding.

Will there be Stingray shaped necks available 3 over 1? Thanks

Hi @mattpbass, that looks exactly like what I need, I'm gonna look into it. I'm pretty handy with Garage Band and I have an audio interface, but as you say the stitching is a faff. Many thanks -
Trace Elliot tuning port rings? (Or anything that'll fit!)
rwillett replied to TRBboy's topic in Amps and Cabs

Anyone using the new TC Electronic BC208 2x8 cabs?
Linus27 replied to Tradfusion's topic in Amps and Cabs
I use a BC208 Cab with a Warwick Gnome 300 and it sounds incredible. I'm interested in actually trying one of the little TCE heads with it but the Warwick sounds so good, I'm reluctant to make a change. -

Mu-tron Octavider + Pedal Mutron octaver and fuzz in one pedal with a ring modulator option too. It’s a nice neat little unit and runs off a pedalboard or 9v power supply - not included. This is from the recent Mutron reissue series of pedals. Construction is of a very high quality. Excellent working condition - one cosmetic chip to the paint on fascia. Comes boxed with manual. See link below to see how it works with bass. You can get some nice synth and grungy sounds with it. I bought it on a whim to try it out however as much as I like it I’m more of a keyboard/synth player than a person who uses pedals so it’s been left unplayed. UK postage included. No trades. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UVfz-OGn974

I've recently commisioned a Rickenbacker 4003. It's awesome and it says Rickenbacker on it I really don't care I have one of my U2 basses made from parts and the neck says Fender Jazz bass, in the old fashioned TV logo (but it has dots, so obviuosly wrong) There's not really a right answer unless you're trying to rip somebody off

Linus27 started following Sonicake Super Master Boost Pedal

For sale is my Sonicake Super Master. Fully working, mint condition, complete with box. The Super Master is a Mini Clean Boost Pedal with a Buffer and +12dB gain. I bought this a simple boost pedal to boost harmonics and lead bass parts and it works really well. Based in Camberley and collection is welcome or can be packaged securely and posted.

For sale is my Ampeg Opto Compressor. Fully working, in mint condition complete with box. This is a wonderful optical compressor which is very musical and just sprinkles some sort of magic on your tone. I already have one of these on another pedalboard and they are so good that I bought this second one for my other pedalboard. I am no longer using that pedalboard and so this is now up for sale. These also work brilliantly with fretless bass and I wouldn't dream of gigging without one. Based in Camberley and collection is welcome or it can be securely packaged and posted.

In this case it was a pub. Fairly narrow long bar room packed with punters.

The other obvious advantages of the FI over the MXR: - input gain - 99 presets, in banks of 10 (sure, I get that is overkill for many) - two stomp switches - display The FI v4 VIP has a pedal-board friendly format not too far off what the MXR delivers My tuppence worth, if I may, if Andreas wants to stay in the game with the advent of the MXR Two obvious improvements to suggest: - improved display. Boss stole a lead on this some while ago - please check their 200 series => can label patches with words and not just numbers. "Chaka Khan" is so much easier to remember than "#06"! - load patches 1 - 10 with popular cover band patches Marketing: Why aren't there any decent YT clips of bass-players using the FI v4 VIP live in a band in the way that Paddy has just posted?
