The "hole" near the attachment arm, isn't a blemish.... it's for adjusting the neck angle. I should have mentioned in my first post, that the necks on these are removable, for packing down smaller for taking on tour / air transport etc. But the beauty of the system is that you can finely adjust the neck angle to set up to your preference, and it's really quick & easy to do.

I hate listings where the instrument has clearly seen serious tinkering, but the seller doesn't make any effort to explain (or sometimes even acknowledge) what's been done. Like, you'll see a 1970s Fender Precision with a mudbucker at the neck, some other mystery pickup at the bridge and a Chernobyl-Control-Room number of knobs and switches, and the listing will just say something along the lines of "1978 P-bass, modified". It always just makes me think that either it is completely buggered, or it fell off the back of a lorry and the seller doesn't know what it is.

Well that was bloody awesome. We got to the Earl Haig early, to find two big projector screens up for the rugby, but didn't affect us setting up. Used their (big) PA with our desk, spent a lot of time with everything miced up (me post-preamp DI'd). Sounded awesome but with the stage volume was comfortable with no earplugs. About 20- people stayed on from rugby and we had at least 120-, maybe 150 people in. It can feel a bit empty on a Sunday sometimes, even with a crowd, but not today. Lots of musicians and music lovers in, including my brother, some of my friends and members of two of my other bands. First half, mostly straight classic rock, so no dancing but rapturous reception. Brief beak, then second half, still rocky but some more danceable stuff, so dancing from about 1/3rd through. You'll get the gist if I say our encores were War Pigs and Alive, and the song that got the most comment was Devil Woman. Afterwards, people were queing up to shake hands and say how much they enjoyed it. We did get (very gently) told off for going 20 minutes past curfew 😁 Baz was taking photos, so I expect some awesome shots in due course. Devil Woman.mp4

Barefaced One10 - What head do you use with it?
Dan Dare replied to jackreacher193's topic in Amps and Cabs
I reckon that will be a tasty rig. -
Not as straight forward as you think. Sure you can generate numbers, but how accurate and also how useful is more difficult. The more you measure, the more difficult you realize the task becomes. Agreed, there are lots of holes in your good intensions. It’s in part equating the numbers to real world performance is much more difficult than it appears.

For my Limelight bass the graffiti comes from band members, friends, Basschatters and one or two pro musicians. So all real peeps. The batteries live under the plate on the front but I can't remember why the pickups ened up where they did. There's a good YouTube vid that may have the answers you seek:

Connecting Keyboards/Electric Pianos to a Mixer
Chienmortbb replied to Chienmortbb's topic in Other Instruments
Thanks everyone. No moogs expected but I think I now have enough info. I will make some short TS cables as the mixer will only be a short way away and I have a HiCon 3.5mm plug that has a screw in 6.35 adaptor to cover any headphone output. Just need to make the cable with two large jacks on the other end. -

Barefaced One10 - What head do you use with it?
chris_b replied to jackreacher193's topic in Amps and Cabs
I've actually got 4 x One10's. I used 2 with the TH500 last week in a Rock n Roll/Blues band and it sounded very good. Next week, in the cover band, I was thinking of trying out 3 x One10's and my Aguilar AG700, at 2.67ohms. -
Thank you, it does sound good!

Well....Back in to The Bungalow on Friday evening and first night of a Mod weekender. Great venue to play! Always a well stocked beer fridge in the green room! A couple of members down, one of the singers was on holiday and we recently lost our keyboard player and also his replacement! To lose one is careless...two is....something! We also have the drummer handing in his notice as he has changed jobs. Decent turnout for a Friday and we seemed to go over pretty well! Sound guy had issues with the bass amp,DI would not work,so he stuck a mike on the cab, then the thing cut out on a song in the second half. But we made it to the end! Jack Flash!.mp4

Cheers for sharing your comparison. I really liked both lol. Your description is spot on I feel. The warmth of the warm audio reminded of the mxr phase 90 script I tried on the boss gx-1b new multi fx pedal. I loved it. Just lost a bid on eBay for a mXR block block phase 90. I really REALLY dig the phase sound.
