  3. Wavy Grovers! Split pickguard! Extra tailpiece screws! Lovely example of an early 4003, and it looks pretty much unplayed!
  4. ^ An AI telling you how to avoid being confused with a Muppet.
  5. If anyone is on the fence about coming to the Sheffield PhazedOut Festival on Saturday May 3rd, where my band SHREDS. are opening for AGNOSTIC FRONT, please send me a DM... I might be able to help you out.
  6. Have a chat with Martin at @Stoneham amplification, he’s very busy but he might be able to help.
  7. Does anyone happen to know which IEMs work best for metal?
  8. Many thanks, I love it I just wish it was Stereo
  9. Great pedal and totally agree re blending. Never sure why that was not a feature of the pedal….
  10. Hi Guys Since I got some decent pitch shifting presets on my HX Stomp the EH Pitchfork has become redundant. in good condition, has original box and power supply. Will post at buyers expense. I will take PayPal f & f or standard if the buyer pays the fees
  11. I feel seen by the artwork on this one 🤣 looks incredible!
  12. If I were going into a project like this, I would want to make sure it was a success, and therefore I would not want to cut any corners, otherwise it might end up a waste of money. For me, there are two people who come to mind, Dan Whitelock-Jones in Liverpool, and Martin Garton in Edenfield. Both could build you what you want and it be a very high quality amp. The Ceriatone amps are actually very good (I've had 5 of them), and you could always order the kit without transformers and source better ones elsewhere. So that's an option, but I doubt either DWJ or Martin would build it for you. Nick at Ceriatone would build it though, and ship it without the transformers which you could get added here. Many options. Rob
  13. People need to calm down and read up on fair use. Also see the following advice from Gemini. I'm not a lawyer so take from this what you will. And if Disney issue a takedown notice, just comply. Recommendations: * Make it Distinctive: To minimize risk, try to make your character and its style significantly different from existing Muppets. Avoid directly copying recognizable features. * Avoid Using the Term "Muppet": Don't explicitly call your creation a "Muppet" or use the Muppets trademark in your description. * Clearly State It's Fan-Created: If your image could be interpreted as being officially related to the Muppets, explicitly state that it is fan-created and not affiliated with Disney. * Be Prepared for a Takedown Request: Even if you believe your use is fair, Disney could still send a takedown request to the forum. You would then need to decide whether to comply or challenge it (which can have legal implications). In conclusion, while the risk of legal action for a non-profit, original image on a small forum is likely low, technically it could still be considered copyright infringement if it draws too heavily on the established Muppet style. Creating a distinctly different character and avoiding the use of the "Muppet" trademark will help to minimize any potential issues.
  14. @lee650 could be worth a punt.

  16. Dummkopf..! You've posted the Feb Pdf, not the May one..!
  17. Not going to join the debate other than to say I feel we've passed that point and are already in free fall. It's just too damn exciting to computer people and to much fun for punters.
  18. Soundchecks are more important for singers than anyone else. It's been a few years since I was regularly doing sound, but for me sound check was for the band and especially the singers to get their stage levels right as this was not something I could do for them. I would only get the FOH approximate because as soon as the punters came in the FOH mix changed, but I could adapt pretty quickly during the first couple songs. Thus said, I did quite like to set my overall EQ using a squeak test (ideally with grey noise) to get some more headroom, but almost never had time to do it properly (the quick version was getting someone to cup their hand over a mic as I cranked the gain)! There was a Behringer unit that used to try to do it automatically but it never seemed to work so well. But for me ALWAYS a quick soundcheck after the linecheck.
  19. just got this new compressor from Sonicake, supposedly a 1176 in a 1590a box. just had a quick test and its on the subtle side, but good enough for most (of my own) application. no low end loss even with the Blend completely off, LED color changes with the amount of compression applied (a bit slow to react tho) Overall it will not replace my Cali76TXPL, but will keep this one for my cheap 1590a setup. IMO best bass compressor below £40 new.

    Sadowsky DI Box

You can buy it from Thomann brand new delivered for £130 but I have seen other places where they are £180+.
  21. As soon as i posted i knew this would happen 😂
  22. Definitely worth trying an offer or two, especially if they've been up for sale for a while. The worst that can happen is that they say no.
  23. Today
  24. No, not ideal at all. We do place a mic on his cab, but now he insists on using a Telecaster which is constantly feeding back, so no way im putting him in FOH. He. Use one sounded and 14 pedals, constantly playing with them, always looking down at his pedals or looking at his amp. Doesn’t help that he isnt the rhythm guitarist, so noodles through the songs until his solo’s come along. Even plays lead lines over mine. Always the last off stage after soundcheck, as he has to keep noodling over the music we put on etc un till we tell him to get off stage
  25. Special request. This is the Stanley Clarke part for 'Blues For Mingus' from the 1979 album, 'I Wanna Play For You'. As I understand it, it was a p***-take following Mingus's scathing attacks on Clarke in the music press - 'he can't play a Blues'. IT sounds like a p***-take to me anyway! https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/blues-for-mingus-stanley-clarke/
  26. Option 2. With the proviso that, as mentioned above, if you can do the soundcheck before the punters arrive then that is far better. I had this ongoing argument with our guitarist/singer who didn't think any band needed a soundcheck as he knew how to get a great sound. He didn't, of course, but couldn't admit it. His guitar sound was almost as bassy as my bass. Later, after I'd left, I went to see him play. His guitar was still far too bassy and the vocals were very indistinct. If the soundcheck is brief and done in a professional manner, perhaps even announcing it to the punters and/or making light of it ("Thank you very much and goodnight" after 30 seconds of a song) then no one can complain and it's far better than hoping its ok.
