1. There's a thread on talkbass where a few people who've bought them talked about their experiences http://www.talkbass.com/threads/hotone-thunder-bass-anyone-heard-of-it.1074630/ They seem to be pretty cool given you understand the limitations of a 5W head
2. My LMIII with one of the old Barefaced Compacts works pretty nicely. Bit of warmth and very, very clean, which some people may not care for. I'd definitely recommend the LMIII if you want a clean amp with relatively little colouring; it's a nice little bit of kit.
3. Hey all. Thanks for the replies and links. The fEARful stuff is a bit big for what I'm after. The simplexx is interesting, but from looking around they don't seem tremendously more easy to build than jacks (still perhaps beyond my very meager skills). Maybe I'll find the courage at some point.
4. Thought of making the thread but it didn't even cross my mind to check the members. Crikey And thinking about perhaps a jack of some kind. I've been mulling over just building one myself, but can't see that going too well
5. Is there anyone building BFM cabs for sale in the UK? I see there's one authorised builder listed on Bill's site and was wondering if anyone has any experience, or if there are people who aren't listed there who do it. So any info or advice would be much appreciated. Cheers all
6. Bought a Source Audio Soundblox Bass Envelope Filter from Neil. Prompt communication and a delight to deal with - a great guy.
7. I'm really tempted by this. I'll PM you soon if I can manage to justify it
8. Dingwall ABI Markbass LMIII Barefaced Compact
9. Will this cab have 2 speakon jacks or just the one? Put me down anyway - Wallasey, Wirral.
10. £600 is a decent price for a new F1 I think. Also, the F500 is only worth it if you need that extra control with the EQ or maybe a mute switch.
