Berserker started following feedback for AndyTravis

I just bought 2 Orange OBC112 cabs from Andy. Despite listing as collection only I thought I'd try my luck and see if there was any chance of delivery. Within a couple of days Andy had sourced some suitable packaging and was ready to ship! They arrived quickly and in great condition, can't wait to put them through their paces! Cheers mate 👍🏻

I do this fairly regularly and I use UPS and to be fair haven’t had any issues, they’ve always been super helpful and normally only one phone call or email for instrument country of origin. It’s not cheap for the importer but I’ve not had anything go majorly wrong. Recently sent basses to USA, Canada, Japan etc without issue. Maybe I’m just lucky

Same with me. No issue 12. I received issue 13 after emailing, but no issue 14 which is advertised on their website. Payments keep being taken. I’ve emailed them twice but no reply. I think I need to make a PayPal claim and get as many payments refunded as possible.

"Micro Frets" with interesting adjustment at the nut
Hellzero replied to alyctes's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I truly think intonating the G string will be a problem with modern strings that are far better crafted nowadays than when it was designed, and especially with todays round wound strings. It was designed to take into account the poorly made flat wound strings of that period... -

Yep, and it's often the case with everything as these items seem to be reviewed by small people for that reason, to make you think they are bigger than expected. 😉 Enjoy your new toy. 😊

Feel free to ignore this post as Thomann are German based but they have a decent supply of them and I've personally had a good experience with them with regards to no hidden charges and relatively easy and free returns.

Thanks everyone for their help. I’ve ordered a B6 which should land today. Decided to stick with Zoom as i know the brand and looking at videos, It seems to do everything and more that i need. Also, the fact that it has a colour screen for the tuner was a big winner for me. I’m often tuning while singing the first verse of a song so rely on the colours rather than the actual screen. But, we’ll see. There’s a Stomp for sale in my local 2nd hand shop, so if the B6 doesn’t impress, I’ll give that a whirl. Thanks again all. Alex

Bought on a whim last year as a practise amp, great for small spaces due to the small footprint, sounds nice and mellow/tight as you'd expect for 10s in a sealed cab with no tweeter. Selling as my son has taken up drums, I'm still coming to terms with this, but at least we can jam. We're going the active PA speakers route to put bass and e-drums through at home seeing as I'm always going through a sansamp pedalboard anyway. I've had a search over and can't find any cosmetic damage. It will be missed, for it is IMHO, the most awesome looking practise amp (bar maybe the bigger 200w AV version...). Collection only from Bristol but happy to consider meet ups/delivery/basschatter relay if it doesn't extend any crazy distance from home.

Another vote for monaco yellow but it would look much better with a black scratchplate. I made a strat with that combination and it's a great look. The only bit I don't get is putting a Fender decal on something which isn't a Fender.

Lovely little haul you got there, Jack - and the best part is they didn't cost you the best part of £2800 each. I've looked at some Chinese Fakenbackers and they always look very convincing on the Google, but I'm still not convinced enough to risk over £300 for one. Ricks are something I'm sure many would say every pro bass player needs in their arsenal, but I've never had one, basically because I've never had the need to get one. Yet. Doesn't stop me looking, though. -
They look rather bendable, yes. Have a listen to Pino Palladino in the John Mayer Trio. He uses Thomastik Flats on his early 60s Precision. Great sound. https://youtu.be/go3vGKdKBqk?si=563scCQueIPoOHus
