  2. Shipping should be possible as I'm getting a new cab in a couple of weeks so I can recycle the packaging from that.
  3. I've been moonlighting as a keyboards player for the last few years and this ^ is bang on the money. Most keys people simply can't help themselves ... they have to be using both hands or it feels like "cheating". I use a 2-tier rig because I hate splits but the principle is the same. My lower keyboard is for my right hand and that plays the main thing ... piano, organ, synth, whatever. My upper keyboard is for my left hand BUT set at +2 octaves so that I'm in the same register as my right hand, and that's for the twiddly bits and flourishes, or for strings/brass. Ego satisfied, plus I'm bringing far more to each song.
  4. No worries that's what I thought, worth a try though. If someone else wants to take the C4 off your hands let me know and take the controller. Cheers
  5. I have one of these and it’s very good. I don’t fiddle with the controls much, tending to leave it in passive mode in the usual 60:40 jazz pup mix but I do like the string spacing
  6. Thanks Pete
  7. Protection Racket gig bag now included along with postage costs now included in the price ☺️
  8. The other solution is buy him a vintage Fender Rhodes and for him to learn to play it right. Pretty much one funky 70's tone and little pure bass. Best band I ever played in was with keys playing one of those.....Light tones that worked everywhere.
  9. The problem with active/passive is that the control knobs will be different values and part of the active circuitry, so not just a case of switching off the amplifier bit and keeping the volume. Would need a bit of thought. What about balance and tone controls?
  10. Up for sale again as I sourced a Trace Transit B multifx pedal. New price: £150 posted. Can't say fairer than that given this also includes £40-ish Tech 21 gigbag https://www.thomann.co.uk/tech_21_fly_rig_gig_bag.htm Would also trade for a Trace Elliott Elf head in vgc
  11. You have misunderstood our posts. It is good that you have responded to the suggestions positively - albeit reluctantly and sarcastically. They are normal requirements when trying to sell something of this vintage or value. You now have a chance of selling your wonderful looking bass. Good luck.

  13. I guess we’re seeing the modern bass player mutate into something as this super processed sound is really synth like. The phrasing all sounds like Stevie Wonders left hand - and that’s not a bad thing! Personally, I find it’s over produced, far too busy and the track is soulless-soul Muzak. (I think the same about Jacob Collier to be honest.) But that’s my personal taste. He seems like a lovely guy and I imagine would smash any gig.
  14. If you are into tinkering, use a rotary switch to get options like in Kubicki Ex-Factor: OFF/STAND-BY/ON... but like passive/active...
  15. Vintage 1980's Westone Thunder 1A Active Electric Bass from Matsumoku Factory, Japan - Fretless. Manufactured between 1981 and 1989. There are the usual signs of pitting/wear to the original metallic hardware (SEE PHOTOS). Pots run smooth with no crackle currently when played. Knobs pitted and aged. There are signs of surface scratching and small dings etc. as photographed. instrument has a basic, somewhat tatty, generic hardcase. Price includes UK 24/48h courier delivery

  19. Ooh. I’m not sure. I don’t think so. This is the spec: https://www.tcelectronic.com/product.html?modelCode=HE020
  20. I haven't. I think by the time I have purchased pots and wiring, had them delivered, soldered them all together, it would just be quicker and just as expensive to fit the pre-amp, which would only require soldering the existing barrel jack in.
  21. Luke brought a leather strap. Great comms, immediate payment, easy to work with. Zero issues, just like it should be. Thanks Rob
