  1. Past hour
  2. Seems really fair for a solid bass. Now the fun starts!
  3. Ok, for better or for worse, I've done a deal at £900 subject to viewing on Saturday. I'll report back. Thanks to all for your advice, I'm sure I'll be back for more. All the best 👍
  4. Take a large 18" cooling fan and position near you. I use one every gig with Glam band and it does keep you cooler. Dave
  5. Aha! Thanks for that. It's a bit difficult to follow, since Chordify lags behind the song. Nevertheless, that's a big help.
  6. Nice one Daryl, keep us posted on how it goes. That should be a fantastic experience. Dave
  7. Thank you Kev , It's really special and if I manage to move some other equipment I'll withdraw this . All the best , Tony
  8. Hey, thank you so much for your answer! I think I hate active basses/guitars and in general I hate batteries haha, that's why I think I'll probably mod this bass to full passive. The spare hole isn't a problem since I can leave the original, unconnected, pot there or maybe I can add a switch for a serial/parallel thing if I decide to keep the PJ config. Talking about the Jazz/Jazz conversion, keep in mind that this model has the pickguard... that's why I'm not really concerned about the hole aesthetic and I wouldnt refill and repaint it, since it will be covered. Of course it's the hardest part of my mod plan...I don't even know where to put exactly the Jazz neck P.up haha
  9. Ah that's a shame - can't actually see anything - just a tiny blue square with a question mark in it !
  10. Rip It Up - Little Richard
  11. Mine are just absolute staple basses now. 3 or 4 tracks on the album and they’re going out live from July Onwards. very, very happy with them.
  12. Its not about the fee, its about the underhanded marketing. eBay provide a service so should be compensated, no arguement there. But doing it in such a way to hide their fees is my gripe.
  13. Anodized gold pickguard from my Fender Classic 50s Precision Bass. Free postage.
  14. I do no exercise because I'm lazy. I do do a bit of practice. The day after a gig, I used to feel as if somebody had been giving me a going over with a baseball bat. I changed to lightweight gear, including the PA - no single item weighs more than 10kg except for my monstrously heavy 11.5kg 2x12 cab. Plus the other band members give me more of a hand lugging gear than in previous bands. As a result, I feel fine the next day.
  15. That’s so small ! I just bought a cab with a 15” and it’s huge. It has handles but it’s so wide you can’t use both on your own. mind you I did only pay £10 I put casters on to get around the handle issue
  16. Back at you LiverpoolBassPlayer
  17. As long as you play the right notes the scale doesn’t matter!
  18. Just put another P together with a roasted Jazz neck . Same woods as my others but for for some reason this resonates and punches fantastically 👌 Fenders "artic white" body... Yet it's like a cream colour 🤷.
  19. Oooh someone is gonna get a bargain here. A mate has one in dark red from 83 (I think) and it's probably the best Precision basses I've ever played. Needless to say he'll never part with it. GLWTS
  20. Kent Armstrong Bass Humbucker for a 4 string bass. Circa 1990 when I purchased new and still in excellent condition and virtually unmarked. It's been in two of my basses over the last 35 years and sounds great. I think these were handmade, add £7.00 for UK insured postage.
  21. OTOH, I've just bought a bass from a bricks and mortar auction house. Seller's premium about 25%, buyer's premium about 25%. So if I bid £800 for a bass, there's £200 buyer's premium added so I pay £1k, and £200 seller's premium taken off the £800, leaving £600 for the seller. That's a rather bigger gap than the gap between £600 and £618.75 or £800 and £822.75.
  22. Today
  23. Very nice indeed, GLWTS.
  24. Err- fretless banjos can anybody actually play one lol
