  1. Past hour
  2. Price dropped to just £300 collected from Benfleet in Essex, 20 mins east of the Dartford crossing along the A13. I could theoretically meet half way if not too far, even deliver for the cost of fuel within reason. Absolutely no couriers - against my better judgement I sent some stuff recently and it only went according to plan once - I have dropped the price to tempt people into a road trip!
  3. This looks incredible. Could easily replace a few individual pedals straight away. Those presets programmed by IMA are worth the price of admission alone; from the sounds in the demo he’s nailed 8 of the most immediately useful bass synth tones you’d be looking to achieve. Can’t wait to get my hands on one. Thanks for sharing 👍
  4. Agreed - the AVRI/American Vintage/American Original/American Vintage II line instruments can be sublime. You still have to try before you buy, but these instruments are always very faithful to the period they are copied from. The nitro finishes in particular make a huge difference to the sound/character of the bass, and they always have that 'just right' feeling to them.
  5. Hi Terry. I have had some interest – maybe things are just slow these days. I'm surprised it's still here, to be honest!
  6. They’ve pitched this really well. Not a full on synth like a Future Impact or Source Audio C4 but more feature rich than the EHX Mono Synth. It seems closer to the Meris Enzo but far better executed. I think it will sell well.
  7. I only play fenders now really and over the years I’ve had a lot of different ones , imo the AVRI series are the better ones, especially the earlier ones which is what I have, I couldn’t find much difference with them and the custom shop models by way of quality, the 62 RI jazz and precision are my favourites along with a few vintage
  8. My fave Glasto moment, old friends reunited
  9. Sheep - Pink Floyd
  10. If I had the budget for a Fender Custom Shop (Precision) bass, I would be going to Jon Shuker. I went Carvin for my Jazz, but you can't find them anymore, so I'm not sure what I would recommend now. You can beat Fender basses at any price, but not their amps.
  11. *titter*
  12. When I went it was more like a huge, surreal mediaeval fair. Due to over-indulgence I can't remember much else beyond the Mutoid Waste Company, Hank Wangford and Richard Thompson.
  13. Really enjoyed the tunes this month. As Len pointed out, it's a shame that, on a site for musicians, so few manage to find half an hour or so to listen to them. Hey ho, so it goes, it's still great fun!
  14. Tis indeed a great filter.
  15. Following Quite curious about this myself, mostly for being unable to put it to the test as a lefty. When I walk into a store I should be happy if they even have a Squier I can play. It's been 15 years since I last played a Mexican Standard Jazz Bass and I've NEVER played a recent US-made Fender Bass in my life. I have owned several MIJ and CIJ Fenders and Squiers, but buying two very recent US-made Fender g**t*rs recently has changed my perception on the brand somewhat - I still think they're overpriced but they're really, really good. FSR can be anything with Fender, be it Mex, Jap or US. I recall a cool MIM Jazz Bass in natural ash which were well-received, and several US models in limited edition finishes (like Sea Foam Green). What do you have?
  16. Up for grabs is my FEA Labs Opti-fet compressor. A superb quality unit in great condition. No box but will be well packaged for delivery. If you haven't tried one then this is your chance as they don't come up very often. Thanks for looking. £250 posted to your door.
  17. Ew! - Jimmy Fallon and will.i.am
  18. Have a look at these super bass plugins from United Plugins: https://unitedplugins.com/plugins?tag=bass United Plugins have a massive selection of plugins by various associated brands, I use the Firesonic and Sound Device products on every recording. I’ve certainly had no issues with running any from U.P.
  19. The Prodigy have always been one of my favourite bands, their set still looked like the most energy of the festival.
  20. I think you have the wrong thread.
  21. Turnstile are not metal. They have always been a hardcore band. They have only gone up the food chain recently due to branching out their sound. Glow On is a fantastic album.
  22. U.K. postage is around 70 on Shiply so would let this go for £400 delivered Thanks
  23. Price Drop to £150.
  24. I don't get the urge to make amps look pristine but make guitars look relic'd. I love the look of a relic"d amp. Amps have a far harder life than guitars on the road. This one looks superb. I'd leave as is. GLWTS
  25. Tempting, but too far away. GLWTS.
