  2. I consider it a basic necessity but I wouldn't say I was thrilled to spend £2400 on it, even though the last boiler lasted nearly fifteen years. It's one of those things that you need to spend on, but the money always looks better in your account, a bit like the car insurance. I call them 'cost of living' expenses.
  3. Apeman - The Kinks
  4. Fly Me To Baboon - Sinatra
  5. @MacDaddy, not an entirely invalid assumption these days, sadly. Mark
  6. I bought a guitar from Peach and it was a perfectly satisfactory experience. They provided me with 3 different instruments to try and a room away from electric guitar noise, and all 3 instruments were properly set up. Huntingdon is an extra 2 hours round trip and its hard to see what value they would have added.
  7. I saw him on about this on the Facebook. As 1st April is more than a month away, I assumed it was A.I. 🤣
  8. Funky Gibbon - The Goodies
  9. Ive walked past that shop so many time over the years, always past it in to Park Cameras though.
  10. Not really set up for hands on retail though:::
  11. GH valuations are always punchy. I bought a double bass owned by Jack Bruce with solid pedigree and provenance for the lowest estimate.
  12. It’s a shame as I think their website is very good, with details such as the weight of each individual instrument of a certain brand/range. Their demos are pretty good too.
  13. I've never liked Peach. It's my #2 least favourite retailer in the sector. Staff attitude stinks in my experience.
  14. I can't lemur behind - Bob Dylan
  15. The Great Southern Mandrill - Pantera

  17. Tie a Yellow Gibbon Round the Ole Oak Tree - Tony Orlando and Dawn
  18. Strip it with a heat gun.
  19. Another deal with Mike! He's an absolute gent and a pleasure to deal with. 😊
  20. I’d snap this up if I didn’t have one already. Glwts
  21. Everybody's Got Something To Hide, Except Me and My Monkey - Beatles
  22. So today I was in Guitar Guitar Birmingham and tried a Lakland 55-02 and a Darkray Stingray 5. The Lakland had a neck to die for, wow! The open low B however sounded (to me) atrocious. This whole "needs a 35" for the B to sound good" stuff means very little to me anyway if anything. I (now) understand there's a trim pot on the LH3 preamp to control this but the volume drop between active and passive modes is almost comical to me and this one was no exception. The Darkray SR5 I admit I didn't have a clue what the controls apart from the volume bass and treble knobs did. I could NOT get it to sound like a regular Stingray but again that was most probably user-error on my part. It also wasn't set-up great. The open low B sounded glorious to my ear though and the weight was good.
  23. He seems like a nice bloke, I hope he is selling because he wants to, not because he needs to.
  24. Thanks for your comments. It’s a lot of amp for the money.
  25. The 'Lava' guard is sold pending payment.
