  2. If you have access to a multimeter you could check the pot in question. One with continuity testing would be even better to check the wiring. Get a schematic for your bass off the tinterweb to check how it should be wired.
  3. I've just today paid for my custom German Sadowsky which has finally arrived after 3 years wait otherwise I'd be all over a few of these.
  4. Selling this bass as I originally picked it up as a backup to my main touring 4 string, a white MM with all the same mods. They’re both great basses but I don’t have as much need for a direct duplicate as I used to and it’s too good to be sat around not being played. I had it re sprayed with this smokey black burst which maintains the look of the natural grain. It’s picked up some nicks and scuffs which I’ve pictured. I love the way it looks and sad to let it go. The neck has a beautiful flame to it and it and the fretboard are unblemished. Fitted with a John East MM preamp, hipshot drop tuner and schaller style strap locks, otherwise all original and in great condition. Will ship in UK for £30 or meet in London area. Open to offers and happy to answer any questions. Thanks! James

  5. Nothing intrinsically wrong with Fender bass, but I have to imagine that even today, some people still aren't aware there are better options out there.
  6. I really like his playing on this cover of Running up that hill by Kate Bush - loads better than plodding along on C for 4 mins! There's also a vid of him and Ian from SBL talking through it that is worth a watch.
  7. It's Too Late - Carole King
  8. I got one from the local tip shop. It needed cleaning, and a replacement handle. It’s the older version, and I can’t connect my laptop to the TonePrint downloads. So it’s just got a chorus on the TP control. It has a separate drive control, and sounds quite good. (I don’t really need it - I’ve offered it to my son’s school as a free loan because they don’t have a bass amp, but they’ve taken over 6 months to think about whether they want it or not)
  9. The QC is spot in on, no rough edges or anything! It's a genuine bona fide bargain.
  10. The irony that they are inspiring youngsters to pick up guitars, basses and drums and play live...... Just as most of the physical shops selling them have shut down.
  11. Depends on how acutely you listen, I suppose. (Unless you have those ears that say 'a bass is a bass'.) I could even tell you which of my three Americans is which while blindfolded - they all have unique voicings. The nitro finished American Original has it's own free-sounding singing tone from the finish and the Pure Voiced 64 pickups. The open pore Ash FSR has a very different punchier bottom end from the 2008 Am.Std pickups. The American Elite has more sparkle at the top end and a distinct active shove to the bass frequencies.
  12. It's All Over Now Baby Blue - Bob Dylan
  13. Successful bands are popular because many people think they are good at what they do. If enough people think you are good then you are. QED As for Oasis, their songs are very popular with audiences and are easy to learn, so I love them.
  14. What is objectively superior when talking about feel or sound? I can see being objective for something like build quality, paint finish, tuner reliability, bridge adjustability, etc etc. But "better sound"? I dunno.
  15. Definitely, no maybes about it (see what I did there?) Whilst they may not be the most accomplished musicians they have a cool factor, if that inspires kids to start picking up guitars etc only a good thing imo.
  16. Honestly, I don't think it really matters how 'good' they are, they were playing guitars on huge stages, TV shows etc... Something for people to aspire to, it really does help sell gear. Can you imagine how many Epiphones, Gibsons and various amp brands Noel Gallagher has helped sell over the years.
  17. Driving down to Dorset tomorrow morning if anyone interested is en route…
  18. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  19. One of the above, good working order, Velcro on bottom. £50 inc postage in UK.

  20. Absolutely! All my mates who worked in music shops loved Oasis first time around. They said that suddenly a new generation of 13 year old kids started coming into the shop, wanting to buy a guitar and to learn to play Rock 'n' Roll Star and Cigarettes and Alcohol...
  21. Except for some light tarnishing, the BD signature having worn off the pickups (happens with all of them!) and 2 missing screws in the rear cavity cover, it is immaculate. Came with a spare set of SIT strings, second cavity cover and a semi-hard case too. So all in, there's agreed price was a bit of a steal...
  22. I do wish the Black Sabbath remasters had taken Ozzy a bit back in the mix and brought Bill Ward up a bit; all the recordings I've heard have the mix a bit wrong.
  23. Here we have a nice Yamaha BB300 in candy apple red if Im not mistaken In good order with a few minor scratches Frets with minimal wear All working as it should with no issues Bridge has been upgraded with a high mass one Price to include delivery to UK addresses

  25. I'd definitely buy this if I hadn't bought the lovely Bryant from @bassace six months ago!
  26. Yes. The sales assistant emailed back stating they don’t have a documentation of the EQ frequencies
