  2. They are awesome basses aren't they! We have more coming soon (hopefully)
  3. Amazing to be so stubborn @steantval ! Here it is again! The official reference is Switchcraft 113X. 😉 https://www.switchcraft.com/assets/1/24/110x-m110x_series_cd.pdf?5406 You can find it here at a normal price: https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/Switchcraft/113X?qs=iwvYsH9bSFbrUaj7QgyZ6A%3D%3D&srsltid=AfmBOoqhz7UfD89CrWZlOZAJMRlC2_sCGRrr2q8MhwZkTH-_NYfW8N7R The two wiring possibilities are here, accordingly to the type of output jack:
  4. I like gloss necks. I hate it when necks have a satin or sanded-back finish. The more poly, the better.
  5. Fair enough if someone likes them I guess they are just down to taste. I have had 3 or 4 basses with the licensed barts in and I don't have any of them any more. I am generally not one for selling basses but they weren't things that I would have kept, I would have kept the Ibanez 805 if I could have got other pickups for it, but they were expensive at the time due to their size (as its fan fret they were wide), I really liked the bass.
  6. I too will take a look. A good battery powered bass amp has so far been out of my grasp. I have a Roland Cube Street Ex for my piano accordion & synth but it doesn't do the low end well enough for my jazz or my bass uke, and it's no good at all for my upright. The best I've managed so far is an Orange Crush-B with a Jackery camping power pack - but I'd rather not have mains leads playing outdoors.
  7. Get someone in the states to buy it and send to you? At £3.10 plus probably about £10 postage it isn't a massive risk...
  8. You mean like this guy? He seems sort of familiar for some reason...
  9. I don't think so, no. I've not done any serious electrics stuff in a while, so I can't make sense of either diagram right now (despite drawing one of them myself). I just know that this works and that I wrote it down at some point. One bit of advice I would add is that the sealed plastic rotary switches that most vendors sell aren't very robust. I've had two fail now – not catastrophically, but annoyingly (having to wiggle the switch to get position 4 to engage, that sort of thing). I don't know if you can get heavier duty three pole switches anymore though.
  10. ....sounds like a lot of people's marriages as well 🙂! Mind you it's easier to get a long with people when there is a common task - I get on fine with my cricket team during the cricket season, but avoid them in the off season!!
  11. Tiny little thing with a big oomph. I really love it but have no use for it. kettle lead available on request.
  12. One of my all-time favourite pedals. 👍
  13. PM'd and paid.
  14. I'll take the Discumbobulator! Also, someone needs to snag that Horrothia Type One fast - epic pedal that doesn't come up very often!
  15. I've got one of these in Candy Apple Red. buy this one, you won't be disappointed* *You may be, I can't tell you how to feel. I'm not disappointed in mine, put it that way!
  16. Money paid Looking forward to seeing you all 🤘
  17. Bad Guy - Billie Eilish

  19. Well, I've learned a lot. I didn't know the WD-800 is based on the Walkabout. I've got one (a WA) and it's one of my favourites. It's currently waiting to be picked up from The Amp Hospital after having some TLC. When I pick it up I'll be dropping off my 400+ for investigation. Now, the Amp Hospital is about a mile or so from Andertons and with a following wind they'll probably have an 800D there by the time I go. You can see where this is going... A question (or 2) for @agedhorse if I may. BD-800 or 800D? What do the letters stand for? D, BD, TT, WD?

  21. But if you go and See Duran Duran now they may be old, but they still know how to dress properly and don't look like a bunch of blokes who have gone to the pub for a pint or two on a Friday night.
  22. Reading through this thread gives me the impression that most people don't get into bands with people they are actually friends with, more like people who are conventiantly situated and want to play similar music. Perhaps it's out of necessity, if you don't have any musical friends. But personally, I'd much rather be hanging out with people I like making music I don't like, than the other way around.
  23. What do you think of the MB58R cabs ? I think they are amazing and so light Sound really good too
