  2. Phew! Just made it in time. The playing and mix are a bit rough but it's kind of pop punk so I'm not too bothered. This is 'Aliens in the sky' by Jinky Fuzz. The bass is one of my daphne blue Fender JMJ mustang basses and there are two guitars - my Pelham blue Harley Benton DC-Junior FAT which has tone knob pulled out to put the single stacked P90 in humbucker mode, and my black Fender Telecaster custom switched to the wide-range humbucker pickup in the neck position. Both guitars were recorded from the usb output of my Fender GTX100 amp using a patch emulating a mesa/boogie II+ with a Boss DS-1. The organ is my Yamaha Reface YC. All the processing etc used logic's stock plugins.
  3. Hmm. Needs vocals.
  4. They missed out the shewee.....
  5. Just been trying to have a little fun promoting our gig this Friday, loads of bands on plus festivals this weekend so we're not expecting a big crowd...but one can try as hard as one can 😁 The pub's called the Avon and it's right next to the river Avon so why not?
  6. My Lovin' (You're never gonna get it) - En Vogue
  7. Yeah, I did some looking around, I gather that the wedges are routinely replaced during a rehair and the tip facing is often installed using CA glue anyway, so it doesn’t look like I've butchered it in a way that would affect rehairing particularly. Bowspeed have some likely looking options if I was able to step up to £300 or so, and will send them out on approval. So what I may do is have the current bow rehaired for now and see about clearing out some bits and pieces for a bow fund. Then if I was to try couple on approval later in the year, I'd at least have the one I'm already familiar with in decent playing condition for comparison.
  8. Neat idea, I'll try that.

  10. Did my research degree in Liverpool so I know the place, or more accurately the replica. The original is gone, but the current is (/was, been many years since I was there) a decent music venue. I was more on the heavier rock and metal side back then ~2003-2006 and spent more time in the Crazy House (when it had three floors), the Swan, and many other decent rock leaning pubs.
  11. Thank you very much 🙂
  12. Fab pedal! Good demo: If I had money I'd be buying this!
  13. if you're happy with it get it rehaired. It's 10s of pounds not 100s. they'll replace the wooden wedges and who gives a monkeys that the tip is super glued on. still if you fancy an upgrade, nows an opportunity, but you won't get much improvement for under £200.
  14. 2024 ebony/black special edition bass that I imported from Spain, was a real bargain before I had to pay the duties! I had it reworked by Indra Guitars, a luthier who specialises in ageing, etching, engraving, and generally crafting offbeat wonders. The short scale (30") bass is fairly stock apart from flattened paint, a bit of hidden routing to lose 500g and obviously the lollipop machine heads are irresistible. The MFD pickup is absurdly epic, with the even hotter option on the OMG switch (if you want to blow the bloody door off). The crows are taken from real pictures I took in India. (I'm a photographer). Courier at cost, possible trade

    Pedalboard woes.

Sorry good points, I play mostly classic rock covers GNR, Bad Company, Free etc in my current band and do the odd dep for another band that does funk and soul. For the main band we cover NIB which I've recently dialled in a filter and a distortion to get away with it. The C4 and Aftershock I think have better sounds but a bit harder to work without the midi integration. DCX seems to work ok for me but I can see why some do not like it.
  24. Now thank you @tomread for the new set! I have to tell you this, as this happened last Friday: We set up a small band (3 singers, one of them playing piano, a g-word, drums and me) for a summer gig on an island. Two long sets (34 songs in total), and out of nowhere someone said during the soundcheck that we will play Born to be wild on the second set. Yes, I know the song, but... Hey, could it be on Tom's pages? With your transcription I played it once in that soundcheck and the second time in the gig. People went crazy. Keep up the good and very legible work!
  25. Thanks for the input even though it brings little to the original purpose of this thread and don't be so shocked : 1st IF Epifani will give me the schematic, it's obviously because they are open for members of their client base to have it, i have been, for some 20 odd years & 3 rigs 2nd I would OBVIOUSLY ask them 1st if that's ok with them BEFORE doing it Around my circle of friends and family that's how people function, the rest of the world.... 3rd I doubt they would be so upset about it anyway because as i'm sure you now, a good electrotech can reverse engineer any circuit and make a similar one buying the right components + i'm sure all Epifani's proprietary tech will be patented, etc.... so how hurt will they be if a handful of nerds make their own "Epifani amp"... 4th - And just out of curiosity, have you asked that to Bheringer for example ? Because they are notorious for doing that only in a LARGE INDUSTRIAL SCALE.. So chill a little my man, i'm sure we'll all survive 😉
