  1. Past hour
  2. I’m fairly sure there was a bass at the SWBB with one fitted. Lemme see if I can find out who…
  3. I remember that one, Chris... It was a beauty! 2007 I think that was... 😮
  4. 440 Distribution are the U.K suppliers for Fishman. They will be able to order blank adjusters without the pickup from the U.S www.440distribution.com
  5. Most of my screwdrivers are magnetic by default. It helps to pick up the screws.
  6. Tokais of that era were everything Fenders of that era could and should have been! I bought a stunning red Tokai Jazz from @silverfoxnik around 20 years ago (wow, time flies), I still remember it as being one of the best basses I've owned 👍
  7. Everyone has a pre-amp in a box. Usually it's part of their amp.
  8. 3 semis down/up is passable (and a lot better than on any multifx I've used)
  9. Before I bought the CQ18T, I borrowed a pair of Peavey Graphic Equalisers, for a big gig, in a notoriously difficult venue. Worked a treat, as I could tweak the settings whilst the first band were on. By the time we were on everything sounded good. But far too much hassle for routine gigs where I'm playing and trying to do the sound. With the CQ18T, it's easier to do, but as few people seem to do it I thought there might be a good reason not too . I'll percevere!!
  10. Apologies for being a bit dumb in my earlier reply. So, yes, made in Japan, but as to which of the legendary factories, I don't know for sure. However, a quick Google AI search gave this answer: "Your Tokai PB80 bass was produced in the Tokai Gakki factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. This is the same factory where Tokai has made its highly regarded instruments since the 1970s." Cheers, Nik
  11. You are Eagle Eyed. I accidentally uploaded my ‘before’ photos.. Here is how the modified back of the pickup currently looks. And, just for reference - the front of the pickup even looks more fetching in this lighting.
  12. It's definitely more jazz, but it's a bit more versatile than an average jazz.
  13. Do you not end up with magnetic screwdrivers this way? It may not be a problem in a woodshop but my dad hates them because they get covered in swarf or filings.
  14. Nice bass that....GLWTS
  15. I’m powering a Cali76, 2 Boss TU3 and a Boss Lineselector. Guess its too much for the Noble.
  16. That's a bargain! Wish I had some cash at the moment.
