  2. Bought in the hope i could get away with 30 all valve watts but unfortunately not. Brand new JJ EL84’s fitted and comes with a spare set of EH valves. Really nice amp and tone to die for - if i could have this tone with more power id be in heaven! Collection from Bolton or could do a meet up. Could cut a deal if you want the ABM 4x10 ive also advertised on here
  3. I had a revelation on Friday/Saturday I've been struggling the past few weeks with my IEMs. I didn't realise they were the problem, I thought my hearing was to blame. Everything seemed too loud and my in ear mix wasn't working It dawned on me after Friday night's dep gig that the seal wasn't very good I changed the comply tips, I've had the same ones for over a year All of a sudden, Wham! Perfect seal and a near perfect mix at Saturday's gig I am so happy
  4. Peavey did plenty of PJ/jazz neck models. B-90 is the blue one. Foundation S black on the right 2nd photo. 3rd photo DynaBass black on left, Unity red on the right. Zodiac DE Scorpio l & R 4th photo. You could buy all 6 for under £1400 🙂
  5. One of the Levy’s straps now sold. Still got the other one and the Fender strap folks…
  6. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  7. It’s such a hard thing. To make it worthwhile you need to buy the goods at cost. So you’ll need to be VAT registered. Then you’ll need to ensure they’re well built, work well and you have a customer service policy in place. If you’re selling goods commercially you have responsibilities to the buyer (and the taxman). You could build a few and then sell them online here, but personally I can’t see it being worth the effort.
  8. Hi. After much deliberation, I am putting up for sale my Barefaced Retro Two10. Silver cloth grille version; drivers are Barefaced 10CR250. 12 Ohm non-switchable, comes with a Roqsolid padded cover. Tested and working. Has been pretty much in retirement since I bought my AER Amp One. Far too good a cab to not be used other than taking up space. Slight Tolex-lift on the rear and side/bottom panels to which I have effected a modestly-successful repair. Other than that, this cab is in excellent condition. Lightly gigged and never pushed hard. Couriered at cost (£30 max depending on insurance) or pre-arranged pick up within a reasonable distance for fuel cost.

  9. One of the best combo around, and it's damn powerful. GLWYS.
  10. Is anyone from here going to that service ? they might be able to give you constructive criticism or more likely praise
  11. I print mine at work, doesnt cost me anything then 😇 Agree with BigRedX, the standards size is 85mm x 55mm as it's pretty much the same size as a credit card, so fits in a wallet better. We are finding more and more that people are using 88.9 x 50.8 instead. Not on purpose, but that a the default that some programs use and they dont bother to change it. Also if you are going to have a background printed or anything that goes right to the edge, it's better to set up a 3mm bleed on each side.
  12. I had my first rehearsal with the Hulla band for two months last night, and it was the first time I'd played 'live' for about 6 weeks. We were down four members of the band (we're usually 13 so there was more than enough for a coherent sound). Everyone was fresh after the break and keen to play and I think that is what made the session a really great couple of hours. We just played through a number of the more up tempo songs on the provisional set list for a 40th birthday gig on 20 Sept. There was quite a bit of improvising (which is rare in this band) and we finished early (which is also rare). Highlights: We played a nice version of 'Take Me To The River', a bit more laid back than normal and which spontaneously became quite slow and funky in the middle, with some great and appropriate guitar noodling from the BL (who doesn't normally noodle). We went into that section and came out of it with no real cues and at the end we all agreed we should that kind of improvisation more often. We did a version of 'House of the Rising Sun' and instead of our trombonist taking the lead breaks as she wasn't, there yours truly took over and played some improvised bass riffs and - whisper it so they won't hear on BC - an actual bass solo for which I got several compliments when we finished. Lowlights: It was the first time I'd used the radio transmitter for the bass for 2 months and something had gone wrong with them as the sound I was getting for the soundcheck was more akin to an old ring modulator being played through a tinny transistor radio speaker. Not sure what happened there but I swapped to analogue technology, in the form of the spare lead I always take with me, and the problem was solved. I decided to take my Hohner 'The Jack', purchased from these hallowed halls, as it hadn't had an airing for a while and it sounded and played really well.
  13. Those are the original pickups. As I said in my last post, Peavey made two versions of the TL-5. Version 1 was built from 1986 to 1990, had small passive pickups, a different preamp and a Schaller 3D bridge. The bass you own is a Version 2, built from 1991 to 1996.
  14. Well used but looked after, a couple of little marks, but otherwise in good condition. Velcro on back. Unboxed but will be packed securely. £40 inc UK postage. Cheers Si
  15. It has a lot to do with American pride and the reality is based on Fender making more 'elite' spec models in the USA, rather than better made ones.
  16. This is a great pre amp. I’ve the genzler 350 Magellan. I missed your genzler 4 on the floor sadly. GLWTS
  17. Boke. 🤮
  18. I agree the differences were huge before, and much less so now. I don't want to throw any shade at Mex or even Squier, it's all mostly good stuff these days. My personal experience is that the differences are minimal but they do come into play when it comes to fine tuning and setups. That is just personal experience though, and it also depends on what music you play and how you play.
  19. I still have my 1986 MIJ Fender Precision that my Mum and Dad bought me for Christmas, in 1986. My first real bass. I don’t use it anymore but I can never get rid of it. It’s the only bass I have ever kept and whenever I open the case, all the happy memories come flooding back. It’ll go to the grave with me. Such a precious and irreplaceable thing 🥰
  20. What rig / gear were you using @WalMan. Always nice to keep us gear geeks happy. 😂 Dave
  21. I saw bits of it, so didn't see the start or any context of what it was fully about. I agree that Beverly Knight was her usual amazing. For me. it lost a little in some of the arrangements and song choices, as though some were trying too hard to embellish or change the feel of the original songs. I also agree some of the vocalists seemed a little off. I recently saw a video on Youtube of a house band including Will Lee on bass playing a Curtis Mayfield tribute with the WDR orchestra and Ledisi/Bilal singing. Much more well done and true to the feel of the originals IMHO
  22. It's not every day you see two of these up for sale on the Marketplace, is it? For Sale / Trade 2019 Fender Flea Signature Road Worn Jazz in faded Shell Pink. You already know how good these are - they have the same Pure Vintage 64 Pickups as the American Vintage & the American Original series Jazzes. This one has a couple of additions from a previous owner - a Leo Quan BadAss II Bridge and a micro switch for Parallel/Series switching. Series mode gives it more of a P-alike shove. It's a great sounding bass and I'll throw in one of the new Fender triangular padded Gig Bags. Oh, and it has brand new genuine Fender Road Worn Strap Buttons. The previous metallic red locking ones really had to go! Obviously this is a Road Worn bass, so a bunch of Mexicans at the Ensenada plant have more than likely kicked the body around a shale carpark during their lunch break, but condition is exactly as you'd expect - rather like a nicely worn in '61 Jazz, which is what it's apparently trying to be. No flaky bits of faded Shell Pink have fallen off while it's been in my tenure, anyway. Potential buyers are welcome to come and try the bass whether they end up buying it or not. There's always Tea/Coffee and maybe biscuits. Price is £900. Interesting trades considered. Buyer to collect, or I will happily meet up half way at a distance of up to 100 miles (200 miles total distance!) from DE7. Thank you for your attention.
