I met Dave Swift at the same Bass Bash and asked him about this. He said if he used a flat-wound B string it sounded ‘like a football hitting a sheep’! No-one has mentioned Dingwalls yet, so… Dingwalls. They (and other fan-frets) overcome the common problem of indistinct B strings by using a different scale length for each string. I had a Super P (with 35in B) that did the 5-string Precision thing brilliantly. I only traded it because I discovered I liked the tightness of a 37in B.

My comment would be why you have two tone switches? You would have no tone cut with both off, the same tone cut if you have either of the switches on and double the cut if you put both on? If that is the effect you might as well have a centre off switch and do it all on one switch, rather than have the two redundant one on / one off modes?

I thought I would try these to get a brighter sound than my go to flats and in that respect they don’t disappoint! However after a few tries and not many hours use, I’m sticking with flats! There are a few odd little brown spots here and there (see centre of second picture) which I guess might clean/rub off. Cut for a Precision. UK Postage included.

we use soundrop, costs about £1 a track (or did last time we used it) and they put it on most if not all the streaming sites, get a statement every month giving details of how many streams and where the songs have been streamed, when the amount reaches $20 we get a payment, which takes an age, especially now spotify don't pay anything till a 1000 streams in a 12 month period is reached

I like the neck in particular, ebony fret board stunning poplar burl on top with an ash and walnut slice sandwich , I think the EMG X and dark glass legacy pre are perfect together , you can get anything you want from the bass , I highly recommend this bass for anyone looking for a quality instrument capable of just about any tone your after. -

When I messed around with this during Covid I initially did the above, recording the audio and video through different means and then having to stitch together, was a right faff, but then I discovered this handy device - https://www.roland.com/global/products/gomixer/ - basically just plug it into your phone and plug your bass into it and you’re good to go. Sounds like this - https://www.instagram.com/p/CRrLGJrCewa/?igsh=MWU4MTBxcXYwM21jaA== -

Whoops, sorry Shep. The link was for a video I recorded but it only exists on Instagram. It was t a particurly good video. I did record some rough sound clips too. Hopefully they give some sense of the sound. It does also sound exactly like the clips I’ve heard of the original pedals that are still hosted on Chunks website. https://www.chunk.com.au/a00f2.htm#synth

That is a beautiful bass. The quality on the German-made Sadowsky basses is really something to behold. When they first teamed up with Warwick I was sceptical. Nowadays it would be a difficult decision between a NYC custom shop bass or the German equivalent. I've never seen Fender-style basses made better than these. You can't go wrong with the classic olympic white/tort combo. If you opt for a maple fingerboard it goes with the off-white painted body and if, as in this case, you choose a darker wood for the fretboard it goes with the tort guard. May I ask, was the extra-long wait time due to the bass being left-handed or was it just due to Warwick being very late on their estimated delivery date. I'm presuming they didn't quote you nearly four years when you ordered the bass?

A Fender with a decent low B in my experience is a case of trying several. I lucked out with my Mexican Player Plus Jazz V. I don't blame the 34" scale either as I have two Warwick fivers with excellent low B strings.
