Love to hear updates once you try the regular tension..... It "might" sway me from my GHS Precision flats, but that will be a big ask 😉

I’ve seen Guy Pratt with his Spector. And his pink Fender. -

But he said that the Rickenbacker is the best bass. -
I nearly went for that myself, but it was a bit much on top of the funk accelerator in one month. Would be very interested in your thoughts on the fretboard accelerator course. That would be next on my list.

A couple of weeks ago 2 of my rack samplers made some fatal sounding noises (an Akai S900 and a S2800). While I love the simplicity and sound of the old Akai gear, I think the time has come to embrace something a bit more up-to-date I've spoken negatively of my experiences of modern Akai gear.. but this time I'm fully committing to the journey to bring my gear up to date & putting in the time to get really familiar with it I've plumped for the Akai MPC Live 2 along with the Akai MPK Mini mk3 for a fully portable solution that will fit in a backpack. Not sure I'm ready to sell my vintage MPC's just yet.. but looking forward to this journey with the new one

Thanks Shoegaze is a heavy rock subgenre kind of related to grunge but more distortion, more volume and slower. Like early Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, Lush and Slow Dive.

Picked up another Boss LMB-3. Just sits there doing exactly what it needs to do. It's the compressor we all hear in our head but most are in denial about it. Apparently Tina Turner wrote a song about these.

... or Air on a G string, by Bach. And Pachelbel's Canon. Sampled dozens of times by modern musicians, and he practically invented looping! But will he get a mention? Not a chance. Sķy Arts, pull your socks up, and make a programme for basschatters. "My 10 favourite pickup windings". "The Story of the Plectrum". -

If you're not bothered by the ethics of clones & want something for little money, I'd recommend the Demonfx Mini Chorus, which is a clone of the Analogman Mini Chorus, which is a modded clone of the EHX Small Clone. Sounds great, no volume drop & has various settings for quite a variety of sounds. Good build quality for it's bargain price.

For what it's worth, I've been looking at various bass chorus pedal reviews a lot recently as I'm after one at the moment. Though I can't advise based on personal user experience, I would reccommend the EHX Bass Clone for whatever shoegaze is? (I guess it's some sort of Indie or grunge style music?) The EHX just sounds the best to my ears, and seems to be quite adjustable in terms of keeping low end. It's the one I keep listening to and just has a certain something that the others don't seem to have. It's what I'm going for when funds allow it. As much as I like Boss pedals, the bass chorus just sounds a bit 80's and maybe would be too subtle? I did have a look at the MXR but can't remember a thing about it. I guess if money is no object, a boutique pedal with a cool name and graphics will be fine. 😆

I bought this in May 23 (assuming it's still the same one they're sending out, but I pulled this from my previous orders, and it looks the same). It's been used pretty much daily, and is still solid and in great condition. I find it comfy enough to work in when I'm WFH, and it's fine for playing. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0B48VRLFN?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title#averageCustomerReviewsAnchor

Sellotape a piece of paper to the back of the chair with the word 'Soiled' written on it and at the end of the day move it to a corner, away from a desk. People wont risk using it.

Preposterous new cab day (vintage Fender content)

You will have to respect the cab limits. Ar the noisy end it is going to be hard to hear the sounds of it being beaten up as distinct from RB overdrive. -
A search for 'lift up arms' with Office Chair, Gaming Chair, musician's chair comes up with a few ideas. https://amzn.eu/d/0rmqpAr Gaming Chair https://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/modul-Studio-Chair-Black-and-Grey/5889?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22258054978&gclid=CjwKCAiA24XJBhBXEiwAXElO3xJyDdPbrq7F3sGRBxa_hAq3q-dlTLleDRrYUjB-6z0xhpQ1o7LIhRoCn7kQAvD_BwE Think the IKEA one isn't going to work as ideally want the arms on and off. And the Herman Miller ones are what we use at work. Keeping hold of a working one is impossible. I'm considering chaining mine down. 😬

Selling a classic 1991 Warwick Streamer Stage II. Bought this about six months ago from the original owner. It’s in fantastic condition. Looks as good a new really. Some light tarnishing to the gold hardware but that’s about it. It had been sat in storage for quite some time before I bought it so it needed a bit of attention. I had the battery connector replaced and it’s had a full setup and light fretstone since I got hold of it and it’s feeling lovely to play. It’s a lovely instrument and I’ve really enjoyed playing it over the last few months but it doesn’t really fit in with the kind of work I do so it’s not going to get played enough to justify keeping it. Plus I’ve just bought another bass and frankly I need to replenish the gear funds! The bass doesn’t have a case unfortunately so it’s collection only from Peckham SE15. You’re welcome to come and try it out and have a cup of tea, no pressure! My feedback thread on here:

Ian did a series of videos promoting Spectors and then did a few videos about Spector players for SBL and spent quite a bit of time talking about how amazing the Spector tone is. Scott regularly talks about how amazing Fenders are, especially precision basses. -
A super sweet transaction, just 5 star all round, delivery, packaging, comms etc. Thank you very much for another great BassChat deal
