  2. I've not tried the v2 but I had the v1 for a while and I found I couldn't dial in the sound I wanted at a low enough volume, it was just far too much for me and I went back to my markbass f1, I've now swapped to a eich t-900 and even though it's supposed to be nearly double the watts it's still easier to dial in my sound. I really wanted to love it but I guess I'm just not an orange amp person. Matt
  3. Hi Quatschmacher, Thanks for the message, but I’m afraid this sold very quickly earlier today. All the best, Ian
  4. The basschat recommended in ear system. Behringer P1 and kz zs10 earphones. Great condition, great sound. Pick up Leyland Lancashire or can post for £5.

  5. So as recently married person i've been struggling a bit to adjust to playing with my wedding ring on ... in fairness it's a pretty chunky affair stylistically ( no fancy gemstones ) just Big ole silver with engraving. Most of my bandmates are married too , The answer from both girls was ... move the ring to your pick hand .... which i've been doing , but for gigs i'd be terrified it would fling off , my solution so far has been an eggcup on my desk I'd lose my head if it wasnt attached So asking the wider community ... who plays with rings ... left right , wedding fashion ... should i just try to adjust ? Am i being foolish ?
  6. I hope that's not serious, Richard. I'll be coming from Nottingham, so 10.30's more like it for me.
  7. I know. Right up the dusty end... Because it's a 5er I often anchor myself from the C on fret 8 of the 4th string up to the C on the 10th fret of the 2nd string, especially as I'm learning to sight read at the moment and it's a key position to work at.
  8. Hi I have two pairs of the locks only, no buttons, they are both in nickel finish. I hope that helps
  9. Decided against the Battalion in favour of the trusty zoom B3 for the looper, drum machine, headphones out etc Train goes Tuner- Noise Gate - Comp - OD - Drop - Zoom B3
  10. Just took a look at this on YouTube, much more complex than I would have thought given the pop-factor of the band. Think this will be added to my list of songs to do.
  11. Just put an album on that I've had since it came out when I was 16 - 9 Below Zero Live at The Marquee. Blimey, they had some energy!
  12. He’s playing up at the 10th fret! Burn the witch! 🤣
  13. We added a verse to give it a more cohesive feel. I always found the shortened 1st octave section out of the solo tricky to feel (IIRC it was a 6 count as opposed to an 8).
  14. Yep look dead to me lol CPR ?
  15. Their engineers are superb as well, bands usually sound at their best on KEXP. The Mannequin Pussy set sounds incredible, better than the studio albums.
  16. Oh man I am loving this.
  17. That was the guy from Row of Ashes. He was running a Stingray through it.
  18. I was listening to this (with headphones), a fb friend posted this. And here it is again. KEXP plays some eclectic stuff.
  19. ChatGPT -> can you put this in English for the hard of understanding please?
  20. Turn up with the lot and we'll do a Doors jam with the organ. LA Woman is great Hows your leg by the way? Rob
  21. I have tried to put together a rig that helps a good sound engineer get the bass done in the soundcheck as quickly as possible. I also try to make it as idiot proof as possible, to make it difficult for a not very good engineer to f*** things up! Bear in mind that most venues aren't so bad that you have to do more than minor tweaks, assuming that you have realistic EQ settings to start with. I also use a gramma pad when feasible (i.e. 95% of gigs) and I have a HPF at the front of my signal chain. I rarely get any problems these day and any tweaks needed for the room tend to be pretty minor ones.
  22. From memory it’s got a quartet of Mullard M8100 valves plus I have a spare (I think). I’ll have a look for the spare later to show what they look like but can do a kinda gut shot.
  23. Today
  24. Select a picture to open it. Tap on it twice. That opens up to more than the full screen, enabling you to use the cursor to closely inspect the pictures. They can actually be zoomed to pretty much life size. Perhaps LowEnd Lobster's demo bass has not had the rosewood nourished. The board on mine is excellent rosewood that is fully nourished. I maintain my basses in top condition as anybody who has bought from me will know.
