  1. Past hour
  2. How on earth is this still here? Also not a jazz bass guy but this is off the charts. Stunning looking bass!
  3. Always been into 5 strings since I was a nu-metal teenager 25 years ago, and this has not changed. I've had pretty much every popular 4 string going and always find myself going for something more modern (and 5/6 string), the 'traditional basses' just don't work for me overall. Although I do have a P with flats for occasional use.
  4. Radar Love - Golden Earring
  5. 'To celebrate the legendary roots reggae band - Misty In Roots’ 50th anniversary, are set to reissue their classic back catalogue, starting with their classic debut album - Live At The Counter Eurovision ‘79.' (Bandcamp link) ....which is good news as geting their records (either physically or digitally) isn't easy. 50th anniversary live shows later this year too. ♨️
  6. Started out on a P-bass, with tapes 🙂 80's came along. Embraced active EQ, silly shapes, heady pegheads, neck through, garish colours etc; even dabbled with 5 strings. Tried the P-bass again early 2010's, this time single coil 51 style. That's me set for life 😎
  7. I`ve put a reminder in my phone to check when get home
  8. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  9. A set of the above. Fit Japanese Fender Mustang basses so prob most MIJ/CIJ Fenders (HVAC tape currently around shaft as recommended by Hipshot for a tighter fit). One key slightly different as shown, with the screw at the end, but all genuine USA Hipshots. Price includes postage in UK.
  10. One of the above, in good condition aside from slight wear on the back of the top horn near the strap button, and holes on the headstock where I fitted a Hipshot triple retainer - happy to put it back on if required. Weighs 7.7lbs. Comes in a generic gig-bag. No shipping, collection/meet up only.

  12. One of the above, in good condition. Versatile little amp, from cleans to classic AC/DC to Metallica it does it all, and in a much more portable format than a Marshall 100w valve amp! Comes boxed, with manual, leads, and carry-case. Price includes postage in UK.

  13. One of the above, a bit of fraying on the edges as per pics, doesn’t affect how it’s used but best to be up front. Price includes delivery in Uk
  14. Nice. I have to query, because it's making my pedantism itch, is "but we're joint at the hip" between 0.33 and 0.35 deliberate rather than the usual "joined at the hip"? If so then I'll shut up. I like the song and the video though
  15. The best low B I've ever heard is on my NS-design CR5M electric upright. It probably has something to do with its 41.73″ scale length
  16. One of the above, boxed and in good condition, Velcro on bottom. Price includes delivery in UK
  17. Went from a Jazz to being obsessed with Precisions for 15 years to Singrays and all things humbucker and then back to Jazz and super Jazzes. And just picked up another P lol
  18. Not being funny but have you experimented with a narrower shoe for gigs? I have this problem even with separate pedals; especially if I’m wearing Doc Martens! Same thing with overly pointy shoes. Never happens in rehearsals when I’m invariably wearing sneakers…
  19. The 2 best B strings I've played, I own. A Vigier Excess 5 and a Spector Euro LX 5. I'd give the edge to the Spector if you twisted my arm. Only have GAS for more Spector's now... Honourable mention to the Stingray 5 I had in the late 90s which had an OUTSTANDING B string. I've tried a few including custom builds from Shuker and ACG, Dingwall AB1, Fender RB5, MM Bongo, Lakeland, Sire... None were awful but I'm coming round to the idea that stiffness of the neck is rather more important than scale length to a good B string.
  20. In my defence I was young, inexperienced and foolish, but essentially, yes - I buggered off! I left all my gear and went back for it under the cover of darkness (well, late afternoon).
  21. This and the passive Warwick are going well. the Free The Tone EQ is such a cool pedal

  24. I’ve had my XR18 about 18 months now. About the same time I got a lap steel with palm levers and had to learn an open tuning. They both had a steep learning curve but I started using the XR18 on rehearsals within a month, whereas I’ve just done my first lap steel gig. Even so, I keep finding things with the XR18 that I’m either doing wrong or could be doing better. I mainly use Mixing Station as it allows you to group together the controls you actually need on a couple of screens, plus I can set up other band members so that only mess up their own monitor mix! I occasionally use X-Air at home for deep dives to check what I’m doing. The biggest problem I have found with Mixing Station is locations where there is little or no Internet. MS then decides that one or more users doesn’t have an iOS Pro licence and we have to go somewhere with Internet to refresh the licence. It’s a right palaver doing that 4 times in a row before playing a note!
  25. Yet another example of a Drummer having bad timing...
  26. How is this still here? Absolute steal at this price.
  27. Don't blame us, we don't have a lot going on in our lives outside of Basschat. Pleased it went well.
