  2. I've 'Reported' your post for you; no need to thank me.
  3. Bought a pedal from Paul, and in all my 12 years on BC this was probably the best buying experience. Paul was awesome the whole way, pedal arrived quickly and very well packed, and Paul was kind enough to also give me some tips for using it. Thanks mate, outstanding 👌
  4. Wow. If this was closer to me I'd be tempted by this just for the hell of having something so damn powerful in such a small package. I mean, that's crazy isn't it? https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/1903544047254617/?ref=share_attachment
  5. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible other option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 or Mesa Subway 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250, £230 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

  7. WOW that's some price for one of these amps. 1/3rd of the retail price. I looked at these before getting my Handbox WB-100 but the new price was way out of my range. So so envious of whoever buys this. Amp tubiness in abundance. GLWTS Dave
  8. Epiphone thunderbird classic pro, neck through with the Gibson USA TB pickups, nice and light at 8.5lbs. Lovely low action with a 38mm nut width it plays very nicely, a few minor marks here and there but still a really smart looking bass. Hard case with a key. The best of the Epi 'birds now discontinued. Pick up from Nr Plymouth, or courier at cost I guess around £20. Happy to drive an hour or so for a meet up if it's helpful.

  9. To expand on my original post. In my current band, I use a 30" Eastwood Hooky 6-String Bass. Our band doesn't have a guitarist so myself and synth play alternate between playing the melody and bass parts:
  10. Yes, lots. Gretsch G2220 for me. Cost me £245 from BassBros. Has £100 of Gotoh hardware on. It’s my #1 now and helps pay my mortgage. Sounds and feels so good to me that it made me sell my Vintera Mustang.
  11. The concept behind the equal loudness curves has been known for some time. The one issue with them from my point of view. Who, or what, decides that a sound is twice as loud. How do you measure human hearing and decide that 10dB is twice as loud? Maybe I should look at Fletcher & Munson’s work to find the answer?
  12. Probably it's urea-formaldehyde glue which can break down if kept damp and give off fumes (including ammonia) that smell like wee.
  13. This ain't bad at all! Currently easy enough to spot AI on YouTube (and not least 'cos this ones being honest about it!) given the static cover. Obviously we don't have the same cues on Spotify.
  14. Mine has been modified a bit but is still close enough to stock to give you an idea of what you'd get if you bought a new one.
  15. Naive - The Kooks Horrible song. The bass line is different all the way through 😖
  16. A song called Drift Away by Dobie Gray. A friend it was their favourite song so I had to look it up. I thought it might be some modern pop song but was surprised to find that it's an old one. Not my usual thing, but it has a nice bass part so I learned it and added to my repertoire of songs. 😎
  17. I don’t really fancy reporting my own posts! 😆 Is there a way to change your account email address at all??
  18. Like it says on the box... Five DVD's taking you through basslines for 20 Worship Bass songs Cost includes postage
  19. Sorry all, yes Whitstable, but it's really no big deal and I can now collect from Nik the following weekend so perhaps let's not make things any more complicated
  20. I think there are few a research groups better than the group at Southampton University.

  22. For sale is my Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 3EQ from I believe 2010. I hesitate to say ‘as new’ in case there’s something I’ve missed, but it looks pretty much immaculate to me. USA made obviously, finish is Tobacco Sunburst and it looks, plays and sounds fantastic. Weight according to my scales is 8.85 lbs or 4kg which in my experience is light for a Stingray. Comes with the original Musicman hard case too and still has the ‘case candy’ pack with the wipes etc. Due to current family circumstances and work commitments, unfortunately collection would be difficult, so price includes insured UK shipping and the bass will be securely packaged. I do have my eye on another bass, so trades are unlikely, but I do like AVRI Jazzes Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks
  23. Quick question for @prowlaand @NancyJohnson... Is there going to be a luthier /guitar tech there on Sunday?
