  2. Borrowed a Longsword v4 from a guy at work to compare to the v2 and set up my board to test. Consensus is that they're all amazing. Really makes me appreciate just how great the dagger is, no matter how nasty it gets, never looses articulation. The Longsword v4 is super flexible thanks to the 3 clipping options and extra boost. Easily the best distortions I’ve ever tried, I always come back to EAE stuff.
  3. Breathe - Midge Ure / Pink Floyd / The Prodigy, etc
  4. Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees
  5. You can do some really cool stuff with assigns to tweak parameters basses on input levels etc. Lets you do some really cool creative stuff which I missed on other units like the QC and Stomp.

  7. Well-used 250w combo with 115 speaker. It’s a bit battered; the vinyl has some small tears; the corner protectors are missing from the top (but the bottoms are in place); the post/pre DI button is missing. But it sounds great and only weighs 17kg!
  8. Great little cab SIM pedal with XLR out and thru port. Quick and easy to load and recall IRs. Has velcro on the bottom. Price includes UK postage. https://shop.hotoneaudio.com/products/omni-ir?srsltid=AfmBOopi3ArFUFryqxYVEzkyrXBmaNhRmgzbJ5g42nlMt8_bBx44r1P1

  10. After owning various headlesses for some time, it's still the Seis that I take out to gigs - the neck profiles on the Cort Space and Ibanez EHB are quite similar, both are D rather than C shaped and to me the most important aspect of a bass is the neck. You can bugger around with the electrics to get the sound you want (within the limitations of pickup placement) but you need to throw money at a luthier to get the neck profile changed. The Bootleggers intrigue me, especially the Ace as I prefer a neck-through to a bolt-on, especially for a 5-string.
  11. That’s sad to hear, I still believe that most people want and value a printed magazine don’t they?
  12. If you have ever owned a MM Cutlass bass, you will understand intimately why graphite necks can benefit from truss rods. There is also the matter of player set up preferences. Some players like a bit of fight in their instruments and a rounder tone, all of which can be provided by higher action.
  13. Should be possible technically. I have someone who does the 3D modelling. But it would require a custom mold so would be a custom order. Yes, but my main concern is keeping costs down so I'll be talking to some friends in the UK who used to handle my wife's Ebay merchandise. They'll expect compensation but I'm hoping it will be less than warehousing, which has been already mentioned. And shipping surface takes longer but the costs are significantly less so maybe that will be an option if I get to the point where I'm confident of selling a batch of necks speculatively.
  14. All unused, top quality sets. Double ball ends but possibly can be used for shorter basses. 37” length. (I could use the outer strings on my standard scale bass but would rather sell as sets). * Newtone 5 string sets x 6: Diamond Bass, hex core, stainless steel, 46-130, length 37” (ball end to ball end) with tapered B. £25 each (discount for multi purchase) ( I also have a Hot Wires 5 string flat wound set…pm me)
  15. Maybe usable with other similar guitars? Unused so in mint condition. Postage possible…
  16. Have no idea.🤷🏽‍♂️ Not really prepared to mess with anything. A quick clean sale is preferable….
  17. Updated pics to show: *Swapped the castors/wheels to slightly bigger but much better quality set. Easier to move without trolley. * Resprayed spk ‘mount’ face (from white to black) using high quality/tough product as the white paint was flaking a bit. This has improved the look and protection. Loaned recently a fellow bass player (who was in a spot) and he raved about the quality of this combo. Actually said it had ‘better’ tonal options than his beloved Mark bass separates🤫🤐🤷🏾‍♂️😎 Shamelessly bumped for more views…

  19. Powerful bass sound, powerful, relentless playing. I like that.
  20. What? Eh? I don't understand.....a drummer who's not trying to kill the kit by beating it into submission? A floor tom that doesn't boom for days? 🤣 For me overplaying isn't simply "too many notes played for the song" but volume dynamics where ANY musician is too loud for a balanced performance. The number of drummers I know who feel they MUST hit the drums to project the sound into the farthest reaches of the universe.....aaaargh! (Actually this goes for any instrment). Grumble over 🤣🤣

  24. In that case, try : 'You're not going to refuse to do a video shoot, are you..?' ...
  25. Good luck Andy. I was once told that you should never go into a meeting without knowing exactly what you want out of it, so take the time between now and then to seriously consider what that is; know what you’re prepared to compromise on, and by how much, and perhaps more importantly know where your line in the sand is and stick to it.
  26. Hey, Just recently i got the preamp too and somehow directly stumbled into a problem i don't know how to solve. I got a board with a patchbay, a Rockboard in my case and i would really like to patch die Inputs A and B to the patchbays Inputs. However if you plug in a cable into the preamp it activates the channel, even without an Instrument at the end. That causes a buzzing noise on the empty but now activated channel. I've red i could plug something like a dummy plug into the bay with an resistor, to kinda simulate an plugged in an instrument, so the buzzing stops. At least as long you don't wanna plug something in later. If i do so that also means that i couldn't switch the EQ on one input if i only wanna use one because Input B would be activated too because of the dummy plug. So thats why i wanted to ask if someone faced a similar problem and maybe solved it or got enough knowhow on electrics to tell a solutions. Best Regards! P.S. The idea of the board btw. was, that i can use two basses on the gig, both plugged in on their own channel, so i never have to unplug something, but at home or in rehearsal situations i could use only one cable and just switch between the A/B Setting depending on which bass i got plugged on that one cable.
  27. Thanks Al, much appreciated! I haven't listened to any others yet, but looking forward to it!
