I tried a 5 string fretless at bass gallery a while back, good curr for rosecoe beck gas!

I'm spending much of today polishing a 34-song list for a rehearsal tonight with a band I've just joined, I know a fistful already but most are new, although I am familiar with them as songs which makes getting the structure easier. But... just found myself learning the Immigrant Song, which is NOT on the list so slapped wrist and back to the grindstone.

Saw Nine Inch Nails in Dublin last night. Really impressive show in every way, which we have come to expect from Trent Reznor. I particularly appreciated the fact that there was a band media blackout from January when the tour was announced. It felt like pre-internet days and there was a real sense of anticipation. I only took a few photos, preferring to enjoy the show. There are dozens of videos and reviews up now, so there are spoilers, but for anyone going to Manchester or London, you are in a for a treat.

Selling this CV 60s Precision neck as I'm having a bit of a clear out and it's just sitting around. Has a 41mm nut - Truss rod and tuners are working fine, it's from a 2021 model I think so has a laurel fingerboard and I've given it a coat of lemon oil. The profile is really nice and playable, having a decent amount of wood in the hand but slim enough to make getting around the neck a breeze. Has very minimal fret wear and I've given them a polish with some 0000 wire wool. Looking for £90 posted for this I upgraded one of my basses with a Gotoh recently and have this hi-mass bridge spare. Standard 5 screw install and this one has 4 holes for string through body as an option. Looking for a tenner posted. I also have 2 sets of pretty much brand new Rotosound RS66LD Swing Bass strings. I fitted these to my basses a couple of weeks ago but just could not get on with the feel/tension so I've gone back to my trusted EB Slinky's. They're both cut for a Precision/Jazz and have seen about an hour max of use on each set. Looking for £25 posted for the pair or £13.50 posted for a set. Any questions please let me know.

Having a bit of a streamline of my pedalboard and looking to let these beauties find a new home. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI You know the deal, industry standard preamp/DI functionality - this one has 3 switchable channels allowing you to vary your tone/drive as required. A great pedal that's been a key part of my board but no longer required due to my GK 700RB amp. Excellent condition comes with the box. SOLD MXR M85 Bass Distortion A flexible bass distortion based on the famous RAT circuit this one has both the original RAT and Turbo RAT circuits switchable via a push button. Sounds great and in excellent condition apart from a few small chips in the paint. SOLD Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor Really versatile workhorse compressor that gets great reviews on sites like Ovnilabs - https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/vicegrip.shtml. A few battle scars to the paintwork but apart from that it's in great nick. Looking for £110 posted EHX Bass Clone Chorus Bought this last year looking for a Peter Hook kind of sound as it's a modern version of the original EHX Clone Theory. Hardly ever used, comes with the box. SOLD Behringer BDI21 Bass Driver DI Cheap clone of the famous Sansamp Bass Driver DI, does a fantastic job considering the price differences. Looking for £15 posted

ash started following Sandberg Electra VS4

Sandberg Electra VS4 Bass I bought this a week ago as back up for my Sandberg California VS4. It’s a superb bass - high quality, great sound and bullet proof construction. It plays as good as my German made Sandberg. It’s near new condition and set up with Rotosound roundwounds. So why am I selling so quickly? I should have done more research. This is an active bass and unlike my California VS or the more recent Electra versions it doesn’t have the push/pull on/off active circuit thing. It is a very versatile bass but not for me as I use my California as a passive bass only. So I’m hoping to move it on and buy another German VS4 or a new version Electra. It hands down beats any other basses I’ve played in this price range for quality. It weighs 3.7kgs so easy in the shoulder. I can post in the UK at buyer’s cost if you can’t pick it up in person. No trades. Selling for what I paid and this is half the price of a new one. Oh well, no chance of me getting in there then 😂 I'd be more comfortable at HD Museum venue. Dave

I would be tempted by one of these except I prefer having a hybrid amp.

Wow, that's great! I watched the video and he and his band have nailed it, music and costumes are perfect, I'd love to play in a band like that. I hadn't heard of the band but I can see why they would appeal to a certain crowd. Same instrumentation as our band but their arrangements are much more period correct than ours, great stuff and fun to play. Thanks for the link, I will pass that on to the band members. Our gig was a lot of fun last Saturday but this week I am going in a very different musical direction as I get ready to head out of town and play with my bluegrass band at a two day festival on Friday and Saturday and a concert on Sunday... variety is the spice of life as they say.😊

Compact budget PA set-up to put bass through (without back-line).
Al Krow replied to Al Krow's topic in PA set up and use
Managed to source a second very good condition used RCF 932A to add the B-stock one I bought a little while back. Looking forward to hearing the improvement in vox and guitar sound from the 3" voice coil / larger 1.4" compression driver on the 932A vs the 1.75" voice coil / 1" compression driver of the 912A at our forthcoming gigs. I'll probably hold onto my existing 912As for a while, to provide a back-up PA and also enable us to be at two places at once, which does occasionally happen! -
Nice outdoor acoustic session. Unfortunately, the high heat caused the finish on the bass to crack. Doesn’t really bother me but probably impacts sale value!

PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £300. Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg NOW ONLY £300.
