  2. Kevin, I salute you. Very, very classy. I envy you your obvious talent. To think I was in Motherwell yesterday and had no idea I was orbiting genius! 👍
  3. A few extra pics, seems it’s a 2012 model - very good condition for age, it’s had an easy life for sure…of course apart from that manky handle.

  5. A thing of breathtaking beauty 😍 Congrats on a job very well done 👏
  6. Saw this, need to talk to the wife, 😀 https://reverb.com/uk/item/88665102-carl-thompson-custom-6-string-fretless-2007-cocobolo now, after, or never again??

  8. 8th/9th Nov would work for me. Preferably 9th.
  9. Unfortunately, I no longer have it. It was resold on here, after I sold it when I stopped giging I loved it gigged it everywhere, dives, pubs, clubs, weddings, festivals (2 x Huge Scout Jamborees really) Fed it into a Trace AH350SMX, Trace 2x10, and Trace baby 15 it sounded brilliant. It was the quilted one. I much prefer yours's though
  10. Too far for me, but best wishes for a success on the day. I know Neeps, I know. 😁
  11. All Around My Hat - Steeleye Span
  12. As above, welcome indeed. I'm now intrigued by your 'big negative'. Have you posted about it yet?
  13. Today
  14. Agree. Best octaver imho.
  15. If say 60% of the value after a rehair.
  16. I would say very probably; I've switched to some smaller knobs from another East preamp on one of my lesser-used Shukers for the time being...
  17. Yeah, they're out of the stacked chrome ones, just like John is...
  18. That looks lovely. GLWTS
  19. Yep. Sterling work! This thread should hopefully inspire others, too, which is great.
  20. Same here. Breaks my heart though that I don't get on with the string spacing.
  21. Update to the Pride gig on Saturday 26th July: We're now on at 3.30pm.
  22. These were sadly discontinued before the Specials. Quite a niche but cool instrument.
  23. That was absolutely lovely. IMO, the modern Fender American P bass 5 string is actually a really nice instrument. The P pickup will always bring a certain tone to a B string, and often it's nice to have the bridge pickup to get it to sound a little 'tighter', but I'd go for a Fender P5 if I wanted a passive 5 string P bass. I've tried many types of 5 string, and still, despite different scale lengths, I absolutely love the Musicman tight and aggressive B string 5 string basses.
