  2. Large domestic bill forces me to open this up again How does £1850 including UK delivery sound?
  3. Hi Dave, No it's the 3x10. Same height and width as a SuperTwin, but slightly shallower front to back, which is great as it slides under the boot cover in my estate car. I've heard the 6x10 in close quarters and they are great, but I can't imagine me ever needing something that big. The 3x10 has been just perfect in any setting so far. I've had the 12" BF cabs but I just don't get on with them in the same way I do their 10's. Rob
  4. The parking there is a bit of joke from my experience. We went to see Macca there in December, and my son in law booked a disabled space as he’s in a wheelchair. When we arrived the football had already started in the stadium next door and someone had parked in our allocated ( and paid for ) space. I took this up with one of the parking staff who was apologetic but said they couldn’t ensure people didn’t park in the wrong spaces. Pretty crap for us as we needed the space around the car that the disabled bays offered. In the end I found a space on the end of a row and we managed okay but it was a bit of a struggle. 😡 Apparently the football match this Tuesday is starting after the Springsteen gig does, so hopefully we’ll be in with a chance this time.
  5. Roll The Bones - Rush
  6. Spent a few hours on it this afternoon - changed the tuners, oiled the fretboard, general polish up, new strings (my beloved D'addario XLs of course) and a tweak of the setup (intonation mostly). Also, found some hidden treasure on the neck heel - no serial number, but model number confirmed and other mystery letters...
  7. Member #16, joined on 16th May 2007, reporting for duty! I'm an interloper - I joined Bassworld like possibly weeks before the move to BC and happened to be online around the time of initial go live of BC. I know very little of the "before times".
  8. The neck has been stripped, hence no black, hence no logo.
  9. Bonjour. Je suis intéressé, Il est toujours disponible ???
  10. Morning all Up for sale is a set of Squier '77 VMJ pickups. Working perfectly and sound great; I used the bass I got them in for a different build project, so no longer need these. They even come with spring loaded foam, a nice touch. Easy to use for a bitsa build. I'm selling for £27 plus postage. Pete
  11. That’s the full scale version. A brilliant price nevertheless. It’s the TMB 30 & 35 which are the shorties. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/model/talman_bass/ I had the 35. Chunky neck and it weighed a ton (apparently they vary a lot). Very noisy, weak Jazz pickup that is not a standard length. Weird Strat style jack socket that I couldn’t get my wireless dongle into. Most people end up spending a lot on upgrades to get a decent bass. Then you can’t recover the outlay if you sell it. Fine, if like me, you are an inveterate modder and enjoy the process.
  12. Not even. There are four inchers that would give good lows if the horn is large enough, but their small displacement would limit their output. Even horn loaded eight inches is the smallest practical size.
  13. Maxi Priest's 'Wild World' brings a reggae twist to Cat Stevens' original. Robbie Shakespeare on bass
  14. Guess you already sold it 😉
  15. Best amp I’ve ever played. Can’t afford, probably don’t need, but boy I wish I could get it! GLWS
  16. yo guys this is also listed on reverb but I’d rather sell it here to avoid fees etc The Darryl Jones signature bass overdrive pedal, an absolute favourite bass overdrive it sounds great with a J or a P bass… does that broken up Jaco bridge pickup thing, compliments a p bass beautifully, and a very musical and useful all rounder. has been gigged but is in very good condition and sounds amazing. these are now discounted, I’m not actually sure how many were made in the first place. I’ll probably regret letting it go but it isn’t getting used as much as it should be. buyers pays postage, collection welcome. cheers all

  17. Roll The Credits - Gerry Cinnamon
  18. Today
  19. Well it's not a SUB neck because they have a black finish. "Sub" in this case might indicate substitute.
  20. I had a 4-string set for a while that I bought to try, as they're just around £10-12, or £15 for a 5-string set. I finally put them on a bass and I'm really liking their sound. I almost never like a set of flats on day 1, but these are nice. That's all, public service announcement over.
  21. If it’s just the pickup config you wanted I’d go for one of these… Fancied one for quite a while but always talk myself out of it… https://retrovibe.co.uk/product/retrovibe-tc30-thundercaster-bass-30-short-scale-dark-grey-flame-top/
  22. This post made me wonder how long I’ve been on here, looked and it will be 15 years on Weds. And I only joined to sell a bass, wonder how many others have similar stories.
  23. The End - Stereo MC's
  24. As with my other For Sale post(s), this is a reluctant one that family pressure has finally brought about. I've kept this unused for a number of years Just In Case I ever needed backline again, but nowadays pretty much everything I do is inears/DI, so it has to go. It's the first bass cab design Alex went with, and for a lot of environments, it's still very very useable. Very light, sensitive and very clear for a 15, I've used it with my 300w Walkabout and it's warm and loud. Comes with a cover, both are in great condition, possibly a few small cosmetic scuffs, but I've hardly used this one (I had one back in the day, sold it, regretted it and bought another) as my backline gigs dwindled. I'd much rather meet up (let's say a 75 mile radius from Oldham) than post.

  25. As with my other For Sale post(s), this is a reluctant one that family pressure has finally brought about. I've kept this unused for a number of years Just In Case I ever needed backline again, but nowadays pretty much everything I do is inears/DI, so it has to go. You all know the score; stupid light for a 1200w rated cab (wheels, too), very sensitive (I've used this with my '300w' Walkabout, and it will drown any unmiked drummer without breaking sweat), and plenty for any stage in terms of volume. In great condition (a few very minor cosmetic dings, but nothing remarkable), and woefully underused, really. I note these are £1300 these days, so £750 is a bargain for the only cab you need for anything and everything. Would be a PITA to post, I'd much rather meet up, and I'd do a 75-mile radius meet from Oldham.
