Darkglass Anagram £750 Delivered in UK. Note that this has a small ding on the LHS which is reflected in the asking price. Comes with supplied case and power supply as well as a KnK shield which cost me a total of £70 to have delivered from Poland. https://www.darkglass.com/en-gb/products/anagram https://www.knkshields.com/products/anagram Apart from the ding it is in excellent condition. Purchased from guitarguitar in August 2025. With great irony it received the ding while I was fitting the protective shield. I was moving it on my desk and clipped the edge of my Apple Studio Display cracking the monitor's screen in the process. Thankfully I have Applecare+ or that would have been a very expensive repair. I've really enjoyed playing through the Anagram, I've owned all flavours of Helix and Quad Cortex and the tones from the Anagram were the best of the lot. Selling as I don't really have a use for it. I like to stick to a simple preamp/compressor board but do love trying out new kit. Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.

I've commented on this thread a couple of times, but I thought I add a bit more. Although I've been to the venue to watch gigs and played there, I never really got to know the people, or now person, running it. My current band (albeit covers) is less than a year old, and in that year, I have to say the guy running this place has been absolutely brilliant towards us. Help, advice a couple of good opportunities and bookings etc. He works incredibly hard on behalf of any of the bands around this way. I've nothing but thanks and respect for him. If this came up again I'd definitely give up an evening to play a few songs, no question.

I can understand changes made for practical purposes - maybe even little surprises like an extra chorus on the end, or a double-time section to wake the crowd up - but some of the examples you've given are just a bit...weird. Not to gloat, but when I've been in covers bands, they've typically clung quite faithfully to what was on the record. The biggest change I can remember making was coming up with an ending for Deep Purple's Black Night, because, as much as I love them, Deep Purple never seemed to know how to end a song! -

Yeah, mine's a feckin' coaster as well. When I loaded it first time, the player (OPPO 4K) just thought about it and then said 'no disc'. I loaded another blu-ray which I know to be fine and it played fine. I then reloaded BTLS and it did boot the disc, but was stuck in a one minute clip of Limelight/photo/video montage which recycled endlessly. What FB page is the thread on and is anyone doing anything about it? I know someone in the industry who has a bit of leverage with these things, but it's an old title. Not sure whether that makes any difference. I'll message him.

Does Your Covers Band Change Songs? What Changes and Why?

We sometimes change stuff quite a lot, e.g. making a ska or reggae version of an existing song. Other things we just change a bit as at one point in time perhaps we kept messing up a part and simplified it, or didn't have the right instruments, or just didn't sound good when we played it - or certain bits sounded good so we extended them. There are a few songs we pretty much cover note for note, that makes it easy for practise at home and for deps but I think they are the most boring songs to play (and perhaps most boring for the audience too) with zero creative input, might as well have a DJ if the aim is to sound exactly like the original. -
Snazzy Gig Skinz padded carry bag. In used condition and with plenty of padding although the front (with the two pockets on) flap internal padding appears to have disintegrated and sounds like a load of Walkers crisps (other brands available) moving inside when you unzip the flap or turn the bag upside down. So I guess it’s best not to do either of those if you don’t like crisp noises! I have checked thoroughly but sadly couldn’t find any crisps. The internal dimensions of the main compartment are 40cms long, 30cms wide and 12cms deep, so it should be more than large enough for those wonderful modern lightweight heads. Price includes InPost locker service.

There are a few in my current bands set list that have been tampered with, some more than others. As @chris_b says, I think it's best to stick to the original arrangement. The ones that have been adjusted have caused problems for our new guitarist, especially as we haven't particularly good recordings of us playing them. Things would have been a lot quicker if we'd just stuck to an agreed original template. -
MARSHALL BB-2 Not to be confused with the original Bluesbreaker pedal, which was essentially a preamp-in-a-box - this is a dedicated, dual-mode overdrive pedal. "Boost" mode is a transparent-sounding clean boost, designed to push the front end of your amp harder, while "Blues" mode gives a much more shaped (and saturated!) tone, reminiscent of the original Bluesbreaker amps being dimed. I bought this pedal back in something like 2010. It was my main distortion effect for a while, and did a handful of gigs with me, but as I've experimented with new effects and different amps, I find myself using it less and less. I still have the original box and user's manual, which are a little worn in places (see pictures); the pedal itself is in excellent condition. Only one thing: the controls originally had black position indicators painted on them, which have mostly rubbed off over the years. Up to you whether you leave them as is, or paint some new ones on! Price includes postage to mainland UK. If you'd like it sent to a different country, drop me a PM. Open to sensible offers!

Luckily I don’t have that issue, songs by coked up indie halfwits wouldn’t get a look in on our set lists. -

I'm happy to do one charity gig a year without expenses or payment, provided I know where the money is going. I did a gig once which was 'in memory' of a tragic event but which I later found out was run as a commercial enterprise. I'm much more careful these days.

I think it was back in the 70's the protection tariffs were introduced to help Harley Davidson. It was either that or they'd have to build a modern motorcycle

Shouldnt be " cheap cables ... i very very much doubt that andertons could take that line as the cable itself is Andertons own ... so they couldnt exactly blame it https://www.andertons.co.uk/stagg-nmc3r-male-to-female-xlr-Rean-3m/ I did look up the terms on their site and they are quite clear , our chap in audio was able to stretch to a bit past the 30 for goodwill but at double that .... I suspect its more than his necks worth

That will be because the charity will be regulated and its activities audited. Which is different to someone off the street organising an event and donating the profits to a charity of their choice, or raising money for a local good cause. Charity comes in different forms.

Beautiful vintage lined fretless, one of the first series 300 from ‘93. Japanese made, very light and easy to play with a good action and an active 2 band EQ from EMG, this comprises of volume, pickup blend, bass and treble cut and boost, the strings are flat wound which means you can dial in a range of tones from modern fretless to double bass. This instrument was defretted and is in good condition despite it’s age, there are a few scuffs which is to be expected but it still plays well, there are a tuners are high quality Gotoh. This is a great opportunity to pick up an entry fretless at a good price or indeed a hard to acquire blast from the past, pick up only from Halifax, thanks for your interest do mail any enquiries you have.
