  1. Past hour
  2. Nowt like a gnarly knurled knob.
  3. Fairly sure. Not that it mattered, it was very competently done whatever their gender
  4. Plus it'll take me about an hour to set up my plethora/smorgasbord/I can stop anytime I want.
  5. I asked this question a way back it puzzled me also
  6. Collection only from Gloucester. It used to house my GK Fusion 550. It's really light, about 1kg. No lids, I don't think it ever had lids/covers. All feet are there. Handle is solid. I would have kept this if I hadn't seen that 550 for sale in a 3u Gator rackbag.
  7. Got my Cali ll TM SL Short ex-stock from Thomann. The only thing it didn't have compared with my configurator design was a roasted maple neck. I was happy to trade that off against immediate delivery plus a cost saving of over £400, which has funded the Aguilar pick-up set I've just had fitted. Now the Sandy is definitely 'the one bass that rules them all' - in our house at least 🙂 The pic is the shot of my actual bass taken by Thomann.
  8. No sorry, I couldn't take all that risk.
  9. Sounds more like a problem with insufficient RF shielding somewhere in the signal chain.
  10. This is all predicated on VHS having that model in their library of course.
  11. Mmmm.....breakfast.... I suspect we'll be there for that and to help setup. Rob
  12. Thanks squire. Due to trains, I should be there about 1045, but that is mainly due to not having a car and getting trains from South East London.
  13. Same here! I’ve had mine a few years now and I still use them very often. At this price, they’re a bargain!
  14. I must be similarly disabled because mine is perfect too.
  15. Well, a few days on and the combination of the Okuoume body, roasted maple neck/fingerboard and nitro finish generally make for a very pleasing tone. Only issue is a lack of top end, so I've ordered a set of the Fender Pure Vintage 66 pickups from the current Fender Vintage II model. I was originally going for a set of Lollars, but this is a nice prototype bass and doesn't really warrant pickups at over £200 a set. I'm hoping the Fender PV 66 set should give a sound somewhere close to my American Original Jazz with its PV 64s.
  16. The Bash starts at 10am but anyone who wants to come earlier from 8am is welcome to have breakfast served from Mrs Scrumpy's kitchen and maybe help us set up.
  17. Pretty sure everyone knows what these are about. Selling as not being used and could use the £££ Price includes postage in the UK.
  18. Beautiful 2024 AGC Graft Plus 5 String.Black Limba body, maple neck with Pau Ferro fingerboard.John East EQ J-Tone,Nordstrand Big Blades pickups, plays and sounds great, very low action with no buzzing. No trades,Thanks,Julian.

  19. That is some fantastic detective work, wink wink. Yeah, the tort was swapped, and the previous owner decided to install regular size tuners, so swapped those to ultralite style ones.
  20. There’s some kind of reactive circuitry in the Origin stuff where they’ve deliberately built it to replicate the feel. It’s certainly not the same as my tube pedals, but certainly less rigid feeling compared to other solid state preamps I have and have had. Obviously not comparing apples to apples either as I don’t have the tube equivalents of what the two BassRigs are emulating. Have had the Grand Slampegg and Fliptop though. (I’ve also had tube pedals which didn’t give much tube compression.)
  21. Hi Gang! Hope everyones good. Putting my Ashdown rig on sale - this is from December 2024 so 6 months old basically and can prove it. Working perfectly and taken out to rehearsal just 3 times, but going digital with the band (Anagram + IEMs) so no use for this sadly. The head comes with cover, mint. Cabs with minimum scratches - enough to feel them with a nail but not cut thru the tolex - I can still remember the trip where this happen and facepalmed myself. Cabs are about 14kg each or so, can carry the whole rig two handed. Tweeters on OFF/MID/Hi on both cabs. Would prefer selling as a rig. If separate: RM 500 EVO III head £400 w/ cover ABM 2x10 EVO IV Pro Line (not the compact) £400 ABM 1x15 EVO IV Pro Line £350 Take the whole rig for £1k and I'll add the foodswitch and cables too. NOTE: Decoloration is only because of having wiped them with a wet cloth to clean the scratches for more accurate picture - they are black all over and even of course.
  22. My thoughts are, what did Pino play before these came out? Surely those are going to get as close to his signature sound for a lot less.
  23. Aye probably, more of an idle thought which made me realise that a Mustang would make a cool fretless, then realised that I don't think I've ever seen/heard one! I've always enjoyed the bass content in the upper register on Mustangs, so think that would translate to fretless really nicely.
