  1. Past hour
  2. Today I finished a good mod, fix and fettle job on my Squier Sonic P. It's now sporting a Lollar P pickup, new wiring harness and a set of Dunlop Super Bright steels. I've honestly just been laughing my head off it sounds so good now. So knarley and expressive. Sorry just had to share. I'm smitten!
  3. Sounds great @Chadu25, I raised mine a fair bit too, as well as dropping pickups a few mm.
  4. Front shots for folks asking about the clearance between the footswitch and the encoder:
  5. Sag Adoo - Black Lace
  6. Hi to all fellow bass players from Cornwall (and Basschat members too). I'm also from the Bodmin area and another old guy (pushing 70). I don't gig or even jam, just enjoy tinkering/noodling with my 20+ basses plus a few six string guitars, synth, and keyboards. No idea what I'm doing - just keeps me sane on rainy days !😂
  7. Bed and Breakfast Nan - Madness
  8. I think the F# tuning is what many going for a 6 string NG would likely tune to over regular tuning to be fair! But I agree you may want to look at removing the vinyl cover (or at least checking it can be removed cleanly) as its a little niche, don't remember seeing anything like that before!
  9. Excellent condition stereo reverb pedal with Hall/Spring/Room settings. Velcro on the bottom, no box. £25 inc. UK shipping
  10. Caline Pressure Tank compressor, excellent condition with original box. Velcro on the bottom. £25 inc. UK postage.
  11. Easily the most pointless but I’ve been discussing it with friends. This is an original Sansamp bass di which has all the controls as trim pots internally (to give the appearance of being a di) into a Cranborne Audio Camden EC1 Volume was a little hard to control on this one and I would have liked to crank the gain on the Camden but there was no master volume in the chain. Anyway everything is just a combination of circuit magic and distortion. The Sansamp is just a normal clean di and then you activate it and I’ve basically got a bit of drive, rolled off the presence and tried to volume match it (but there is a jump). My thoughts, I don’t think I’d go into the studio without my Countryman and this Sansamp now. I’d always look to run clean and spicy. The combo with the Camden feels like I don’t need anything else but combined with the boosts I have there is a great range of tones. The Camden could have been a main part of my rig but the power supply is just horrible.
  12. Ive been left very cold by the expensive basses ive tried. Ive played a few Dingwalls and couldnt wait to get back to a Fender. Too sterile for me. Same with a very expensive bass that i cant remember its name, had about 100 knobs and switches and no soul.
  13. Great MXR80 2 channel DI very good sounds (ground lift button cover missing but button works) and the awesome Keeley compressor - very simple but very effective both £90 each inc postage or £165 for both No trades or offers on these please - as priced to sell
  14. So have I, and they are great. Good with the Basschat strap locks too±
  15. Chicken tikka - ABBA

That’s what the livestream is “in aid of” or that’s the justification of it, but they’ve really pulled the big guns out - they’ve invited loads of guitar influencers to Line6HQ for it and really built it up. The speculation is that they’ll announce Helix firmware 4.0 which will have NAM compatibility but that could be wishful thinking or completely unfounded - they might even announce or give a teaser for next gen Helix 2.0 but the counter to that is that the current Helix software is only 18 months old and so I’m leaning towards the former, but I haven’t got a clue I to don’t even own anything Line6 anymore (but that may be about to change post-livestream if they do announce NAM compatibility). The livestream is 7pm tomorrow (11th) I’ll link it below 👇
  17. Good stuff! I'm a big fan of their straps. I've got two so far and they're excellent.
  18. That’s another pedal I’ve looked at in my quest to find some saturation that I like, sounds real nice too from the vids I saw
  19. Have you tried uv resin? You’d still have to use heat, or a lot of patience, to spread it. But with the use of a uv torch it sets immediately. Meaning less retraction. And if it did retract a little bit, it’s a quick, seamless fix. You’d probably be able to use it to fix the edges of that pedal. I bought the stuff for model making, but I am finding all sorts of uses for it.
  20. Best Jazz necks I've played - and that's a lot. Wonderful basses, I just wish the body curves/contours were a little more dramatic and organic. I really like the colour and MHS on this - really quite rare
  21. Was my local 7 nights a week in 80's. Happy days. Dave
  22. What's the old saying? Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Oh that is interesting news re. there being a 'big announcement' tomorrow. Because Line 6 announced Helix on 11 June 2015 i.e. tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of Helix!
