We are exactly the same with my main band. We even have a saying, "we are consistently inconsistent". We literally have no idea how we are going to play a song on the night because we have no idea what mood the three of us are in, the vibe of the room or the sound. We even discover how to play a new song on the night and play it differently unconsciously, despite having rehearsed it for 6 months and we then go, "ah, that's the way we should be playing it" and then play it that way onwards. It's like the song has to find itself no matter how many times we rehearse it or have played it live previously.

I would think that but then I see the local facebook groups and realise that it isn't going to make a difference.

Ah, so instead of the LED’s on the old one, the HQ version (which is what im intending to get) has the actual button flash? This is what im talking about. So pressing one will turn it red and it’s selected? Seems simple enough once it’s explained to me. Thanks

In Pentode mode, it's much easier to get full-on overdriven/distorted sounds at lower volumes/drive levels. So I have been generally keeping in Triode mode for cleaner/ever so slightly broken up sounds.
-
Because there is sound coming from those channels I guess. The red one is the one you are adjusting (or I think on the HQ, the one that has gone yellow).

Many thanks for sharing that review. And welcome to basschat.co.uk - I am honoured that your first post was in reply to my question!

Yes Note that there are two P16, as there is a new one just come out, I have only used the older one, but might get a new one. Each green light lights up when there is a sound coming through that channel. if you have nothing selected you can turn the volume / bass / treble etc up. If you select a channel, you can change the volume (and tone) of that channel, and its left / right balance. It is really simple and obvious to use.

Ah cool, thanks for the info. I think what threw me was seeing images of the HQ with multiple buttons lit up green. Wasn’t sure why. It does look like a cool device, im going to get one maybe over the weekend or next week.

If you went with a Morningstar controller, you could plug the expression pedal into that, and then the expression would be sent via MIDI. The CME could plug into the Morningstar, which would just become part of the MIDI chain
