  1. Past hour
  2. For the record, I didn't remove the top of the guitar, worked from the outside of the ... side with a router (I like the neat work you get with this tool) and a template, then glued the rosace in and that was it. Not that difficult if you work slowly and accurately, Chris.
  3. Ha ha! Dr King is ready for you now… (evil cackle, snap of latex gloves etc)
  4. Give @PaulKing a prod ... he'll get the top off for you in no time at all.
  5. Would they? Gimmie all your loving is pretty well one note all the way through (ok, yes, its 3 one note riffs) I would imagine almost noone who wasn't a bass player could recognise that song from the bass line. Maybe 'Take a walk on the wild side'.
  6. No longer on hold (my apologies Mark). Sorry but this MUST be collection/local meet up only. I've tried two bike boxes & couldn't get either to work.
  7. Various Source Audio midi adapters etc: 1. Midi Neuro Hub. Control Source Audio pedals via the control inputs and a midi controller. In box with extra TRRS cables but no mini usb cable. £50 posted to you in the UK 2. Two SA midi adapters, Converts MIDI to the control input on the back of a SA pedal. With appropriate cables. £25 each posted to you in the UK 3. Source Audio tap tempo switch. With 1/4" output to work with just about anything and a TRRS 1/8" to work with control inputs on SA pedals. £25 posted to you in the UK
  8. I've used an EHX Bass Clone for years and like it. You can boost the lows with the eq on it and the crossover can help too. The Source Audio Gemini may also be worth a look as it has so many types of chorus built in to it
  9. Raz (Yavor) bought my WT550. Excellent comms. The usual up-front and sent to his requested address in Dartford. Would sell to him again.
  10. Got the bass and it was in as new condition. The bags are still on the tuners and film on the pickguard. Yay! The fit and finish are exceptional, the neck is a thing of beauty - reminded me of the Charvel necks everybody used to rave about. I actually quite like the colour, it is an unusual green but perfectly complements the darker colour of the neck. The preamp and eq are working perfectly as per the review above and you can get some positively thunderous tones out of the thing. It is perfect apart from the neck dive which when seated, is probably up there with the worst of any bass I've ever owned. Such a shame. Definitely worth what I paid for it but it could have been a 10/10.

  13. I've snagged some tickets for the tour and will be seeing them in Hertford in January. This video popped up on my FB feed and i thought it was quite interesting 🙂
  14. Good luck with sale - I just got one of these and if you perform with no amps and IEMs the XLR output sounds amazing. Worth every penny.
  15. A week ago now but I played my first overseas gig in Germany at a small doom festival in Leonberg, with Gévaudan. Really really cool vibe, promoters really looked after all the bands and the crowd were ace both whilst on stage and hanging out during the before and after. we played pretty well and the sound was clear and mainly on point on stage. Good times and lots learned. Felt like a very different approach to love music on the continent.
  16. They are a standard diy item for wall painting.
  17. On TalkBass, some say that the Fifteen sounds very close to the DCX. Interesting.
  18. Bass clone is maybe less versatile than the others. I’m no expert but the first two would both be good; the TC electronic one is pretty decent as well and has loads of options which could be useful for that genre.
  19. It is! I can’t believe it hasn’t been snapped up… maybe it’s the most wonderful time of the year… 🎄
  20. This video compares the OC-10 with octave pedals that costs 3-4 times as much as puts it very much in the same ball park…
  21. I want to buy my daughter a chorus pedal for Christmas and not sure what to go for, its not an effect id use. She plays in a shoegaze band so lots of fuzz on the guitars to cut through so i think she'll need a chorus that keeps plenty of bottom end. Obvious choices seem to be Boss CEB-3 or MXR Deluxe Chorus or maybe Electroharmonix Bass Clone. Are any of those particularly good or any other suggestions?
  22. Your rig is definitely the dogs' ! If only I could afford it (or, sadly, justify it). GLWTS.
  23. Today
  24. Great....getting down to it now! TBH....I'm doing a bit of a clearout...and have several peakers that came from Organ cabinets....as in Hammond PR40s. This came from a home-made Organ concoction, and I was trying to discover if it had a potential use/value. Not playing bass currently, and can see from the spec .pdf that this isn't going to be suitable for guitar use....unfortunately
  25. I have several of the rollers spare and would be happy to post a couple to any cab constructor. You’d need your own handle but I think that’s a standard size.
