  3. He had several (surprise surprise). A friend of mine now owns John’s Wal JG bass - which he bought at the original Entwistle Guitar Collection auction.
  4. I removed them from a Thunderbird I reverted back to stock condition and sold last year. and now surplus to requirements. Price includes postage.

  5. Bought off of fellow BC'er Beedster back in May this year for a project that in the end never happened, so now it's surplus to requirements. To make sure all is well, I hooked it up to a solderless loom this morning and I wasn't at all surprised to find that it works fine. Just wanting to recoup what I paid for it. Price includes postage.
  6. Three sets are Nickel, 2 are push on, 1 Grub is Screw. Tuther set is Chrome push on. Price includes postage.
  7. All the very best Tony, you are one of the good guys of this world. 👍
  8. that's just his face, not a specific bass face!
  9. That was definitely a factor in going for the PF50T rather than holding out for a bigger beast going cheap (as they sometimes do). The cost of one pair of 6L6 isn't going to be too much of a financial catastrophe, and now it's out of warranty I'm fairly sure I could figure out most issues myself, where some of the bigger lads increase in complexity too.
  10. No, it's from a movie with Trevor Howard, iirc, about the Battle of Britain...
  11. I think I had the 3.2 Warwick and I now have an RM 800. I used to really like the tone I got from the Warwick. A sound engineer once told me my lovely recorded tone was due to the boutique kit I had (Korean Squire Jazz, said Warwick through an EBS cab!). That all said, the Ashdown tone is wonderful, the amp is much lighter and you never now when you'll need the watts. Ashdown for me.
  12. Was sent a 5 string set by mistake and told to keep it. It’s brand spanking new! £8 delivered
  13. Because then they get hit with a copyright strike. Three of those and their channel is toast. Much safer to do original stuff.
  14. The mind boggles!!! What was going on there @stewblack?
  15. So here is an unashamed plug for the Midlands Bash in June. We have missed a couple of these and have moved venues, but hopefully 2026 will be the start of a long and stable run. Anyone up for catering?? 😁
  16. I see there's some compliments on the 8" speaker - any detailed commentary on the speaker shoot out, either here or in Amps and Cabs?
  17. She was a regular there for quite a while, maybe she still is. I know she used to have a very nice custom Sei.
  18. For sale, My Vintage brand jazz. It has the vintage reissued Jaco alike body but an older fretted P bass neck. Full wilkinson hardware and pickups but with new cream covers. Nice player and ideal if you don't really like jazz width necks. I would estimate 4kg but not 100%, not particularly heavy though for sure. I have a shipping box so postage is negotiable, UK Only please. Cheers Craig.

  19. Hi , just confirming the cab is ported at the bottom. About 3" in height and runs three quarters of the length of the cab approximately. Cheers
  20. Couldn't agree more. Obviously, I paid the pro forma invoice within 3 minutes of it landing. There's 100 years of gigging left in that amp if looked after properly. If Macca and Slipknot are still gigging them then there must be a reason...
  21. Here's a few more contenders.

  23. Lovely upright playing 👍
  24. ….but of course, if you could get the same from that £454.80 amp you would… Which is why it still makes more sense to repair it than to buy the cheaper option. And the great thing about many tube amps is that you’ll be able to keep doing so, not always the case with solid state 👍 Owning a big tube amp’s a bit like owning a big dog, you might get lucky with the vet’s bills, but you probably won’t 🤔
