Deviating slightly from Tonerider but heading to a solution, I recently went through a little project where I needed/wanted a very specific tonal quality from a pair of pickups that I had to have custom made due to the configuration. I approached a few pickup makers and chose Laverack Guitars, they make Toltec pickups. Lee, who owns the business was able to interpret what I wanted tonally from a phone conversation and nailed it. They aren't expensive either. He does a range of J and P and will wind exactly to your spec or desire for very reasonable money indeed. Customer support is of the highest quality too. That truss rod nut hasn't got in very deep. It wouldn't be a flag for me, it will probably work just fine without any problems.

I found some video from last Saturday. Not our best. I post the good and the bad. Guitars seem out of tune, it was 100°, sound mix was not great and I played with a healing broken ankle. I'll stop because I can go on forever with making excuses. I can't hear any bass without earbuds. Daryl

Soft bags for the win. That's a lot roomier than I remember the original MX5 boot. It has some depth to it. So long as the cab foot print goes into the dropout section you are good for a much bigger cab overall than what I imagined. If a box doesn't drop straight in and stay under the lid you are screwed out of a huge amount of cabinet size. It has to go through the opening, rotate and lie down. Suitcases have quite rounded edges and corners. Googling the biggest carry on suitcase mx5 model could really stuff things up. If it is close I would make a cardboard mockup just to be sure.

I don't understand this. Why will a dep have a lower level of effort and committent? Like I said before you're playing with the wrong people. That’s not my experience of how a dep behaves. Most of the musicians, even many of the band leaders, I know are in more than one band and every one of them gives every gig full commitment and maximum effort. If we didn't give 100% we'd deserve to be out of work.

No, it's just another inaccuracy in the reading. It does mean that if you have two identical preamps, one with a diode protection and the other without, then the one without will continue working while the battery drops a further 0.6V after the one with the diode has died.

We are having problems agreeing on a calendar app for our band and one band member is suggesting this one. Anyone had experience with it, or tried anything similar?

I'd rather do it with someone else's skin.
