  3. Once in a while it's quite cathartic to have a clear out. I've got stuff that I I just feel I'm never going to play in anger again, but who has the readies to spend thousands on a Lull?
  4. @SteveXFR as said above dialing back on the output might help. Also try to play with the treble a bit. While technically the tonepump isn't a boost only setup, it doesn't have a center detent so the best bet is to dial back to "zero" , counterclockwise and start from there to see (hear) what you like. Eventually Spectors have their own sound and that either fits to the music you play or not.
  5. Don’t get the hate for tab really. I did a dep gig Saturday and had chord based lead sheets printed by the leader. That’s tab, effectively, and was good enough for us all as we knew the rhythm. If it helps you play music, then crack on!
  6. I had the same thing, so I pretty much gave up electric bass. In fact, I only ever play EB when I need to. Double bass has filled a part a part of my soul, and the people I’ve met while playing have been infinitely better. Find something else to spend your time on and come back to it if / when you want.
  7. Any and all instruments in a jazz band.
  8. Hopefully better than the appalling Foundry Series guitar amps Very cheaply built which was a shame as they sounded ok but build quality was shocking
  9. I have dunlop strap locks on my Slash Les Paul. I was bending over at a gig and the top one let go. Les Paul face down on the deck Luckily no damage but I don't trust them anymore. I don't know why it failed Mainly used schaller ones most of my gigging life
  10. I hit 50 a few years ago and realised I don't have to take this sh!t anymore It's liberating Well done Andy you'll feel so much better. Just doing the stuff you love with great people around you Get your groove on sir
  11. Definite Maybe - The Kinks
  12. It does fix the only irk I have with my DB-500H, the foundry has a master volume. I don't know why that was omitted from the original. I look forward to your report when you get it!

  18. …other manufacturers are available 😙
  19. My apologies for the lack of information, I'm currently putting together some drawings in CAD Yes the necks come ready to fit, they will include a nut, double action truss rod (headstock end) frets and the frets will be levelled. I can't get hold of Earvana compensated TUSQ nuts for bass unfortunately and they would be a £60 upcharge if I could. Standard TUSQ is available though and I use them exclusively on my own instruments. I have reached out to luthier contacts here to see if anyone has a 3d model of one. It's technically possible to mill one ourselves but there may be a learning curve involved with tolerances. If milling one is possible, I will add it to the list of options but I can't say when that will be. Tuner holes for the shafts to go through are predrilled (probably 12mm but subject to confirmation) but the screw holes are not because different folks have different requirements for tuners. Neck bolt holes are not pre-drilled but inserts and M4x40mm neck bolts are supplied. The headstock will be the standard shape and tuner layout will be standard as well (3+1). Luminay dots are possible. I will add them to the list of options.
  20. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to allow for those even if I could and customers would end up paying them regardless, even if I had sufficient volume in sales to justify UK based warehousing. Another option would be to bring a stock of necks over personally as checked baggage but the quantities would be limited and I could only do it during a public holiday here in China (Late January, August and, at a pinch, first week in October).

  23. "I'm sorry my little loves..." Classic 5: 186mm Steinberger 5: 225mm Do you agree that the SUB5 and Classic 5 necks might not be interchangable? I've updated the spec to mention fingerboard options and some measurements
