I'm still nowhere near. However, I have a riff based on the central guy's body shape. His floor hand, other hand and knees, roughly make the shape of how a dominant 7th triad falls on a guitar. His feet stick out. So i have a riff based on dominant 7th with a little sticky out bit. I'll have a mystical section and maybe some mystical sounding melodies. Also the contortion/twisty idea. I'm gonna twist the scales I'm using as the piece goes on. Hope I can get it done in time -
Yellowjackets do that, a couple of 'singles' amongst the more demanding stuff. Been that was since the first album with Robben Ford on it.

bnt started following Anyone play the harmonica?
-
I don't play the harmonica yet ... but I ordered one from Thomann and it'll be here early next week. It's their own 16-hole Chromatic 64 model. I work in quite an old, large building with whole wings that are unoccupied, and I'm often walking about, so my idea is that I can carry the harmonica wherever I go and try things out in-between other work. I find myself wishing I had some instrument on me to try whatever happens to be running through my head that day. A Chromatic makes more sense to me because I'm already moderately musically-literate, and the Solo tuning looks sensible. I don't see myself playing much Blues, Chicago or otherwise, though I might try that later.

Just clicked on a few vids today, I hadn't been that interested tbh and then watching them it dawned on me. I was 12 yr when Paranoid was released and I suddenly remembered how shocking it was, kinda scary. Death, Grunge, and all the rest owe them large ... Anyway the old eyes welled up today, who'da guessed. Cheers Ozzy.

I wouldn't know. Mine arrived last Thursday, but I was smitten with a foul lurgy, and am still out of the game. It will be plugged into my MB combo as soon as I'm able. Really looking forward to it.

Depends on the construction. Does this bass have a centre block supporting the bridge and for the tail-piece to screw into? Even if not the way the forces are angled with regards to the tailpiece mounting shouldn't be causing the top to separate from the sides like that. However I'd be tempted to take the strings and the tail-piece off and have a look at what is happening where the tail-piece is screwed into the end of the bass.

That’s a beauty

Just sold a flanger pedal to Stew. Great comms and a pleasure to deal with. Recommended.

Nice simple wee bass part there Rob. Think i could manage this one. 😂 Quite like some of the Yellowjackets material but some a little too jazz for me. This one was just a nice wee song. Dave

Different tools for different jobs to be honest. I rely on my bass for the majority of my tone. However, the orange has a smoother, warmer sound as it has a tube preamp. Although I brighten it up a bit with different preamp tubes and using full-range drivers in my cabs. The hd150 has an ultra clean solid state preamp so naturally sounds brighter. Depending on which band I’m playing with and where, will determine which amp I use. If I’m using both, the MM does the clean channel and Orange does the dirty.

Have an older ABM 500. Which is way more watts than I need as I have PA support and mostly use my rig as a monitor, mostly. My other heads are 100w valve heads and they are plenty. The problem with the 500 is the output is barely on and so sensitive by the time I add enough pre and tube. I would love a 100w ABM with the current features.
