Having some fun learning some fills I've never gotten around to going - here's my go at the Thundercat/Mac Miller fill from What's the Use

Fair point - I never looked at the fees or calculated a total. It is definitely the same bass - on the headstock there are two chips & a scuff in exactly the same places in both sets of pics. I'm assuming it was bought just for the pickups - wonder what they went in?

One thing I remember was that I took it to Overwater for a full setup, but the pole pieces crackle to the touch, so it was very much a pick/plectrum-only bass, but i guess a RIC is anyway.

That was so nice. Fantastic singer (i think i've mentioned that before) and the band sounds so sweet. Love the overall feel of your band. I'd buy that. Dave

I can’t really say I know much morrisey or smith’s but there’s probably a few songs I’d listen to if I went through their stuff, I’ll try to listen to anything once (except Coldplay 😁) Wetherspoons is great if you want cheap and cheerful and they do a decent breakfast, and unlimited coffee , i don’t think I’ve ever rubbished anything here just because it’s not my thing, I actually like to see what other people like, but I do notice that some do , especially when the subject Fender pops up

Yeah a studio I know has Ampeg heads and 810s at moment, they’re looking to change the amps to TE Elfs. I do wonder how long before someone pilfers one.

Most of the time, it's personal opinion. There are very few objective absolutes. I thin we can all agree that Mrs Brown's Boys is execrable unfunny rubbish though.
