Nothing BassBros works for me via email. I never get a response. I've switched to Whatsapp and that works fine.

Wow! Don’t like the attitude of that music shop in Sheffield . If it were me , I’d send an email addressing my disappointment about their lack of concern , care and customer service. Plus of course I’d be telling them that a replacement or a refund is the only possible outcome if they don’t do a proper investigation. I’d also go straight to trustpilot! As for the courier co , straight to trustpilot also . -

The courier should refuse to deal with you; they are the shop's agent, not yours. It is well-known that couriers may "sign" for recipients and often leave signed-for items unattended. The Consumer Rights Act details your (ahem...) rights. Also, if you paid by credit card then that gives you further rights. -

You're super covered so don't panic. However, I have had similar before that if a courier knows he's not going to make it on the day/time its supposed to be there for they will sign for it saying delivered and bring it the day after. Naughty, yes and a flippin' nightmare but it has happened to be ( on a £5k bass I sent to a customer ). Hope you get the bass, but at worst you'll get your cash back. Not cool on the shop in question though, they should really take full responsibility. -

I hate those people pretending that as soon as the courier has picked up the parcel, it's not their responsibility anymore... Sorry, but as long as it's not in the recipient hands, it's the responsibility of the sender, who, by the way, is the only one allowed to lodge a claim. So, push the shop to act the legal way and simply ask them the proof of delivery: If they can't provide it, ask for an immediate refund. -

Couriers are way better at being inept than they are at being corrupt, it'll show up 👍 -
Was it me saying "I really don't think the drummer's gender is at all relevant" that made you think what I meant was that I "don't feel the drummers gender is relevant"? Regarding evidence/facts, what evidence/facts do you have that it was a factor, that they deliberately chose a woman so that any criticisms could be dismissed as mysogyny, and that they've prepared a narrative for that? That contrivance is baloney and insinuating reverse-mysogyny. As for forbidding anything - I'm not a mod.

Have you tried fuzzy skin? It disguises lines and imperfections by being a textured surface. -

I have 19, but the total spend is probably a fraction of what some BCers have spent on a single bass, and as I have= plenty of room...

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
tauzero replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
Got halfway there, hit a traffic jam just as the singer rang me so I answered - drummer's car had gone titsup so rehearsal cancelled. Trickled along the M6 to junction 7, turned round, and came home. -

This has been a trusty and much appreciated case over the past 20 years. It is bomb proof. It’s been well used, but still has plenty of life left in it. No longer needed and fits any bass. Collection preferred, but could meet within a reasonable distance of Bridgend/Cowbridge/Cardiff. A very fair price for a sturdy and great case. Cheers ✨ -

Thanks Matt and thanks @synthaside for the advise. I'm quite surprised at the retailer to be honest. Now if it had got lost in transit it would be different, these things happen but explaining to the chap on the phone that it has been signed for by me didn't seem to concern him too much. Now I'd say its been nicked by a dodgy driver (I've known a few in my time). Yes I know it's all too easy to jump to conclusions, but it's dosn't sound promising at the moment that I'll ever see this bass. -

I am on (extensive) record about these. There was never any situation I went in to that this did not deliver on. Backline with bonkers drummer and no PA support? No problem. Nice quiet gig but need rich sound anyway? No problem. Like the tone quiet, but disappointed that it all goes to mush when you turn it up? Not here. All the way down to the very bottomest B or A? Here it is. Do I fancy it? Not half. But my ears are shot and I no longer play with backline. Otherwise I would be sitting here telling you how rubbish it is as I planned my trip to pick it up.

Some of you will have seen that CMC Audio have today released their new Fuzz pedal, which integrates an envelope filter into the sound. I’ve had it for a little while now as I happened to get chatting to Christoph about fuzz pedals around the time this was around 90% developed. FWIW, I paid for mine, so this is not a marketing spin, I just wanted to start the conversation around it as I believe it deserves all the exposure it can get! I made a very quick video for Instagram this lunchtime haha, with a single tone: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPguOWSiO9J/?igsh=Z3pkcnk4c2V3NDk5 And I know Si Francis and BassTheWorld also put out vids, which I (or someone else) can post below. Cheers Si

I’m going digital, so this is now just sitting there doing nothing. The TC Electronic bass amp is brand new, bought in December 2024 and never been out of the house. The Warwick WCA1x15 cabinet is in amazing condition and never been taken out of the house. The TC Electronic BC210 cabinet was bought from a well known bass player because I needed one at the time. This cab has been used and shows signs of wear, but it works wonderfully. The whole rig is a peach and perfect for any bass players needs. Collection from Cowbridge please. Bring your bass and come and try it. May sell separately……. ✨

Actually in between Nellie and Lois was a lovely blue girl called Peggy. Sadly she had cancer so only made it to the age of 7
