Always a good sign! I think that's the setting I like as well, so I'll hunt out that one, ta! I like the idea of having a compressor block that doesn't have any of the variables available to adjust, so I can't be tempted to mess with it. So if it works, brilliant stuff!
  3. @dmccombe7 you have, but thanks for taking the time to say so again. Very lucky to have chanced on a band with some very talented individuals, plus two of them can mix audio and make my bass actually sound like the tone I've got in my head.
  4. Those Boba Fuzz pedals are fantastic, it's a 1:1 clone of the Zvex Mammoth with an added mids control on the Body dial. Looks like Vinnie's knocked his eBay shop on the head as well so there's no new ones available
  5. Yes it is, I am based near Wembley, London. I am abroad currently so I cant take a picture but the nick is visible in the first picture to the left of the bridge pick up at the edge of the body. I can take a close up when I am back if you are still interested.
  6. I was with you until your Wetherspoons example. That foods not worthy of seagulls.
  7. Great Bassline I like that one, nice job
  8. Ah, sadly far fom me.
  9. Having some fun learning some fills I've never gotten around to going - here's my go at the Thundercat/Mac Miller fill from What's the Use
  10. Fair point - I never looked at the fees or calculated a total. It is definitely the same bass - on the headstock there are two chips & a scuff in exactly the same places in both sets of pics. I'm assuming it was bought just for the pickups - wonder what they went in?
  11. One thing I remember was that I took it to Overwater for a full setup, but the pole pieces crackle to the touch, so it was very much a pick/plectrum-only bass, but i guess a RIC is anyway.
  12. Thank you, I have dropped him a message
  13. I'll get something recorded over the weekend if ok!
  14. Today
  15. That was so nice. Fantastic singer (i think i've mentioned that before) and the band sounds so sweet. Love the overall feel of your band. I'd buy that. Dave
  16. Coldplay are the perfect example of a band for people who don't like bands, who play music for people who don't like music - and that's precisely why they are so phenomenally successful.
  17. I can’t really say I know much morrisey or smith’s but there’s probably a few songs I’d listen to if I went through their stuff, I’ll try to listen to anything once (except Coldplay 😁) Wetherspoons is great if you want cheap and cheerful and they do a decent breakfast, and unlimited coffee , i don’t think I’ve ever rubbished anything here just because it’s not my thing, I actually like to see what other people like, but I do notice that some do , especially when the subject Fender pops up
  18. Well, it was bloody freezing, but it scrubbed up quite nicely in the edit. Can't upload the clip to here for some reason, so here's the link to the instawotsit version. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRhlyzXjFx1/?igsh=MW5iOXRiMGZoejVvOA==
  19. Toast - Streetband (Paul Young!)
  20. Yes, but it means going to Leicester.
  21. What makes him shit in your opinion?
  22. Yeah a studio I know has Ampeg heads and 810s at moment, they’re looking to change the amps to TE Elfs. I do wonder how long before someone pilfers one.
  23. I like them both. Easy on the ears and plenty of interesting parts to follow. Reading the band members list made me smile 🤣 Is that your real name "Cardigan Fitzbadley"? 🤣 The Roster: BVs: Deanna Lead guitar: Johnny Bandit Acoustic & electric guitars: Hardliegh Worthit Bass: Cardigan Fitzbadley Keys: Dr Conquest Drums and percussion: Justin Thyme
  24. http://www.howardsmith.co.uk Can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s great.
