  2. You second and third paragraphs appear to contradict each other! 😁
  3. I'm not sure of that... most of our repertoire we haven't played the same twice.
  4. Fixing A Hole — Beatles
  5. I’ll just re-state my original question, as it’s three pages back… Can a band thrive if most of its members have other, clearly more interesting/lucrative interests? If so, how do you manage/motivate them?
  6. I would contact Epifani and ask them for the schematic. If nothing else they could suggest a place to take the amp to for repair. In future take the amp home with you to prevent unauthorized use. Is the guilty player going to cough up for the repair?
  7. A bit of history would be interesting… 🙏 I own a similar ‘71!
  8. it is still almost immaculate. A bit of a case queen these days. I think we did the deal just before/during lockdown 1
  9. Cheers Alex.... 👍
  10. Top drawer, Chris. Love it.

  13. Hi guys I have an Epifani UL 501 bass head i use with an Epifani UL2 410 at 4Ohms in our rehearsing studio down here in the south of Portugal. Some bands come in every now and then and i let them use my cab w/ a Warwick head to spare them lugging cabs back and forth. The other day i forgot to unplug my amp from the cab & although it was clearly visible there was another cable connected to it, the next guy just plugged in the Warwick effectively connecting both amps via the cab and my guess is my amp was fed the Warwick's 300 or so watts for the duration of their rehearsal - 1 hour, 1.30..? When i returned to play, upon switching my amp on i just heard a semi loud "thump" sound and no led my amp, nothing... Checked all cables, fuse, everything was fine. I contacted my tech and he told me that it would be super useful if i could get him the schematics of my amp as he always has LOADS of work in hand and couldn't really search for it, etc... I've already contacted Epifani a few days ago but so far i haven't heard back from them so... in an attempt to speed things up i was wondering if by any chance someone here would have the schematics they could either share with me or even sell them to me so i can get my amp repaired asap ? Or maybe even some links to a site that has it or, or, or....? I have looked all over for these online but with no success. Thanks in advance for any help Nuno
  14. Saw him play when he came to Brum last month. He was superb, pure class.
  15. Beautifull...light Weight :-(.....
  16. We're Choked.... Playing it Rebellion Sunday 10th at a nice and early 1350, and at fringe festival at the Washington same day at 2100.
  17. I did try Harry Potter - everyone used to love the sound of the amp like that, but then it started making these weird tweets, which really irritated some people.
  18. Heater, Hi Lo Beam, Rear Wiper... lots of switches
  19. Wee Will Rock You - Queen
  20. Would love to try BEAD

  22. To echo some others on here, I think it’s a case of being clear from the start what the expectations are from bands so people can decide if it’s something they can / want to commit to, whether that’s paid gigs, how often, rehearsals and goals overall. Personally I think most generic function/wedding/pub covers bands all play at least 50% of the same material anyway so it’s not actually rocket science for an experienced confident match fit player to step in given enough notice. I love playing in multiple bands. I find it a bit unrealistic for any one band to fulfil all my musical aspirations and needs. Some are better payers, some do loads of gigs, some allow more creative expression. It’s all good.
  23. Same here, on both regular trains and on the London Underground too.

  25. I have taken a bass on a train. Never occurred to me to check whether it was allowed!
